I forsee a tremendous amount of returns as people who have no idea of the issue a meshs can cause place them in a home that doesn't have enough square footage to make proper use of them. Even in my 1800 sqft house with the nodes as far apart as they could be (opposite corner on different floors), they were too close together and kept causing a lot of node hopping on a couple of wirelessly connected PCs when I tried it on my two Asus routers. That's not even touching on the collision contention issues that all mesh routers that don't have a dedicated backchannel have. Mesh networks have their place, but they aren't for everyone's situation and as the prices come down they are going to cause a lot of frustration for people who get them without knowing enough to know if they need them or not.
