I wonder if the movie starts with the last scene shown in the trailer, the Aurora looking stealth aircraft, and then Maverick does something with that aircraft or something happens while he is piloting that aircraft that gets him ordered to be instructor for new pilots.... Just a guess *shrugs* No idea who the baddies are going to be.

Super Hornet have been used now for about 19 years, I didn't see any Classic Hornet in the trailer.

Those are F-18 E/F Super Hornets. The Navy has never used and will never use the F-16 or the F-22. The F-35 is a joke, useless in a dogfight, a Top Gun pilot wouldn't caught dead flying one.
