Interesting that they do write-offs because of Tomb Raider (thus lowering revenue, and paying less taxes possibly), and later claim the game was a financial success. That's how corporates work with paying substantially lower taxes 🙄

I must admit, i always disliked tomb raider games, since the very first one.
But this one was awesome.
I played a pirated version just to check what's the buzz all about, and i always tought:
- " no way in hell i will buy a tomb raider game anyways"
Well, i was wrong, bought it a few weeks later in steam 🙂

Here is a shocker for the always whining games industry: create a great game which really works and sales will follow. There are so many examples of this and almost none are coming from EA.

i think the oposite... the new one is just another shooter with the taste of tomb raider... no more huge puzzle to solve 🙁 (and no more big boobies either lol 🙂 ).

Well true.. the "puzzles" in this one werent really puzzles at all.
The new combat system was ok, nice and fastpaced took away some boredom from the old ones (thank god it wasnt firstperson i hate that ^^)
But what really shined was the storytelling / script.
in the next one maybe well get some puzzles ^^

I'd only be happy with more of the same. Great story, emotional characters, stunning levels, well hidden secrets and just a hint of puzzle that won't get anyone stuck for hours in one room. Fantastic set pieces and chase sequences too.

Never liked the game from the off, doesn't mean others liked it, tbh fucxing hated it waste of money .the control was total bollox, you couldn't jump when wanted so much bs

EA = mega-hype, release, 2 patches then abandon for sequel. Or just close the dev down after release XD
BF gets a few more patches cause of competition from cod, nothing more.

One of these days i´m gonna buy this game because it only costs 5€ right now but i´m scared that this game it´s another generic third person shooter with the Tomb Raider name on it...

I don't get why this game receives so much praise.. I mean, I've played almost every Tomb Raider game in the past up to this one.
Graphically and mechanically its a very good game, but it didn't hook me at all.. I played it for around 4 hours and was bored to tears with it by then. felt like there was no challenge in it and I was playing it on a hard difficulty if I recall correctly.

I don't like the reboot at all.
Seems to me they traded in the classic temple exploring and puzzle solving for bucketloads of gratuitous gore and violence.
To me it feels they made the reboot to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and I guess financially it worked.

I like the new lara, but the gameplay and game itself was terrible and couldnt be further from a TR game.
