and this is what happens when samsung goes first 😛 im mostly an apple hater or neutral but i have to admit it, they know when exactly to release a new product and make it shine, and then samsung and the rest come up with more refined versions also samsung loves to use fake/ugly designs for unreleased products like this

I've also heard of apple trying to do a watch sorta thing, who's going to buy these anyways? watches are watches, and people who pay thousands for a good looking automatic watch would never switch to garbage like this.

Some of those watches costs between $1Mil to $25Mil and takes from 1-5 years to make. Fun Facts for the $25Mil cost one: 1) You can feed 50,000 families of 4 for a whole month. 2) You can build 1 High School or 3-4 Elementary Schools and still have some left. 3) You can do many things to make this damn world a little bit better. All that from a damn watch. 😀 /excuse the kinda off-topic.

Samsung is following Sony and a bunch of other companies this time....same as Apple.

Wasn't there a kick-starter for this kind of watch with the intention of supporting iOS? I know Apple wasn't behind it but Apple has been the trend-setter in the last 10 years, and let's be honest - Samsung only follows in everyone else's footsteps only to then surpass them.

That $25M doesn't just go to one person it does get spread around suppliers, machinist, retail, miners, transportation, and a few others. Just wanted to point that out.

Just to point out too, I was talking about the one(s) paying the amount to buy the below "watch". An eink alternative (With 7 day battery) is the pebble watch. http://d2brbg16830x6.cloudfront.net/trio2.jpg Although it seems stupid that they didn't fit it with a square screen, the rectangle cuts off many clock faces. Also a lack of touch is a bit of a let down. its been showing up on shelves. Well it is a bit chunky but the real problem is its not waterproof. I live in a place where it rains more than its sunny and it simply would not be a viable option here.
