I am on my 4th and final time through the game "NG+ level 70". I'm almost at the final fight but I haven't played in a week. I'm saving the rest until this comes out. That frog looks great and does Fabio, I mean Geralt have a new crush? We shall see.

I've never understood why people who can hear use subtitles etc - if people are talking - listen to them. So many YouTube videos out there of gamers playing a game and reading the exact same thing that is being said...um, wtf? OT: looking forward to this

Most youtubers I see dont read them out loud unless there is no text. Most the time they enable subtitles for people who are watching their videos who are hard of hearing or because they have the game volume turned down and there mic turned up so people can hear them talk better over the ambient, effects, and music from the games they play.

Assuming you can always hear, in many games the sound can be problematic. In RPG's especially there's often background chatter and noise, some of which can be overly loud. Outside of the game there's distractions, cars driving past or people in the household chatting. There's numerous reasons why people use subtitles despite being able to hear.

Or at work and such be working instead of watching videos. 😉

many people can understand a language but are not fluent enough to understand a film/game with background noises and different accents aka most english speakers

Ouch! I can comprehend people just fine thanks 🙂 And, the other thing is that YouTube has subtitles anyway? The worst one is UbiSoft (no surprises there) when they put subtitles into their promos and adverts, or worse, when they are interviewing people at studios and doing a behind the scenes thing. Talk about duplication of effort. YouTube has got it built-in guys, learn to click FFS.

I meant non-native English speakers. And trailers do not play on youtube, many times are uploaded to multiple platforms which have different subtitle support (or no support at all).

Apologies for the misunderstanding. So, A multi-billion $ company can't create two versions of the same video? Other companies don't seem to have this problem, and I know how easy it is to emit a layer in Premiere Pro prior to rendering it.
