Ok, cool i suppose, but why now? Id of thought they'd get this out of the way or save it for last all the while prioritizing performance fixes and in-game dlc.
That is, if there is only one team working on updates. If there is more than one, then i suppose my complaints are irrelevant.

I'm not seeing it, my Galaxy is open nothing is downloading....
I got that full expansion pass so I got all the goodness, and on the flip side I opened the game folders and saw .exe files and realized I have to click and install them manually....
But am I an idiot to expect the DLC to automatically download and install itself like pretty much every other game I've ever played on Steam and Origin???
this whole time I thought the DLC was just not working for me for whatever reason

thats because galaxy has these things optional
you can also install the updates from the configure screen of the game in galaxy

I guess I'm being bit too critical of Galaxy, I mean it's still in BETA
but thank you for that tip White LIghting, I just opened configure and noticed all the DLC's are unchecked, I am checking them all 1 by 1, good thing I waited for my second playthrough, going to start that when we get patch 1.7

After 1.06 (i think) game has run pretty well for me. Few areas lagged a bit, could have been low fps due to smoke effect etc.
So yeah this only seems to be artwork etc.

This being an all in game content patch - paintings, textures etc ???
Or purely "extra content ala pdf, guides etc outside the game" ?

Game runs great after the last few patches, I almost never dip below 40FPS with hairworks on 😀 Game so far has been a joy to play, glad they keep adding stuff. Best money spent so far.

Even if they did downgrade the game at some point, or whatever. It still looks really good at Ultra currently and plays fine on a single GTX 980 @ QHD for me. The only thing I turn off is Hairworks, everything else is maxed -- I get about ~45-60fps, G-Sync makes it perfect.
gUNN1993
It was downgraded, but only from 2013 to 2014, all gameplay released after 2014 showed the game in its current state. Coincidentally, this was the time the new ****soles were released.
Basically they seriously overestimated what the new consoles would be able to do and couldn't afford to make essentially two versions of the game. Which tbh I hardly find surprising, Ubisoft, WB and whoever can't do it and they don't even have to spend money on writing.
End of the day it's a shame, but it still looks great and they actually spent time optimizing it so it didn't use 20Gb Vram and 20% of a gpu (First game to actually bring my 670 to its knees ... had to go down to 1080 resolution)
Twiddles
They optimize and indeed made some adjustments to the loading of textures and rendering side of things, but it doesn't really bother me. The lore and story are simply breathtaking including the world itself.

A pretty stupid update. (on steam)
All this did was add 3gb (installed, steam downloader is smart so 1gb of it was copied-data) .. of the bonus content in non-english languages. The english bonus content was already included since release.
And since steam allows per language installs (And witcher 3 in fact makes use of that feature) it makes no sense they suddenly put all bonus content languages into the english install. (you could swap languages at will to auto download them at-will without having to waste space/bandwidth)
Presumably the non-english bonus content was already installed for players who had their game set to other languages anyways.
Only new english content was the manual was added, this was previously available anyways though a link on your steam library.
The gog galaxy edition may not have done this, thus is may not have any update. Since gog included different/more bonus content.
On that note, people who ave the gog edition, does it include a "making of" video? Witcher 2 had that, and it was very good.. would maybe even buy the gog version too to see it.

I have nothing against the bonus content - at the moment I'm looking for a local studio to print and put in frame the English map, but... and a big one... I'm somehow irritated about the decision to wait for console certification before releasing the 1.07 patch, so they could push it simultaneously to all platforms...
