crysis 2 and 3 still look quite good tbh... and this remaster looks like a patch added to it...
not sure this remaster will be a purchase for me... i think this remaster happened too early

even if they where not exlusive to epic store, I would not buy them again, 1 was good, warhead was good, i didnt really like 2 and 3 well. I played them once and that was enough, I do know multiple people that would by remasters. most cause they still play original games, and would not mind getting a remaster

I will be buying the games,just to support the developer. No matter what anyone thinks,says or how butthurt they are that it is not on there preferred platform. It does not even matter if they screw it up like the Crysis Remastered,I bought the game and came to my senses and played it for what it was. Bug ridden POS compared the original but I managed to do some mods and tweaks to enjoy the game. I will do the same with Crysis2,Crysis 3 and wish Warhead was included but at last it was not a console game ,so no remaster there.

Well, I think it could be argued thusly:
If this was a new game, say "Crysis 4" with the magical words "New CryEngine Build" and to give extra reason to buy shares in Kleenex; the words "New Ray Tracing" think my fellow Gurus' would be saying stuffs like "Shut Up and Take My Money".
But instead we get the PR translation of "We don't care and because we got the majority of gamers at home with nothing to do, we want to exploit this situation by selling you something we already sold you 14 YEARS AGO.
It could so be argued...

No Crysis4, no new engine, no nothin' - yet, we gotta pay them lip service? It's no different than you friend asking you to come round and look at the new paintjob on the car they have owned for 14 years, in the same colour. Yeah, so it's new paint, but it's not a new car, or even a new engine.

Well, that is still a detraction from my point: peoples reaction to a new game (Crysis4) and a new game engine/ray tracing, would have been better welcomed than a PR stunt; for that is what this is.
Y'see, I'm not saying people should feel anyway or another about this announcement, but am sure the gurus would have reacted differently if the news wasn't cold and calculated, but full of vigour and positivity; surrounding a new game engine or new instalment of Crysis from CryTek.

As long as it's not a half assed remake, like the Crysis remaster, it might be interesting to play Crysis 2 and 3, with a few enhancements.

Last I heard suing the guys behind Star Citizen for some breach of contract regarding the use of their engine, oh and making p*ss poor updates of what was a very average game.

Crysis 2 wasn't a bad game. It was still worth to play. And it lasted about 8 hours.
Crysis 3 started really well, with lush jungles and open areas to explore and varied ways to engage enemies.
But after the first 2 hours, it got much worse with the levels with the aliens. And then, after another 2 hours, it just ended.
It was a rather short campaign.
