Just great i wonder if Microsoft will get their act together and make use of such speeds in their bug riddled mickey mouse OS Windows 11

SSD vs NVME was 1 sec faster in game loading time, i guess this will be 0,0000000000000000001 sec faster?

the performance increase is there it's just early pcie4 adopters were given a bad deal the pcie bandwidth was there, the controllers were not. the difference between m10p and sabrent rocket is 31% shorter loading time. that's an early top gen4 drive vs current top gen4 drive https://static.tweaktown.com/content/9/9/9918_24_plextor-m10p-2tb-ssd-review-new-performance-leader.png

Yeah it is there the graph is missing a sata ssd and an hdd for reference, will be most likely hdd 30-45 sec sata ssd most likely somewhere Around 10-12 sec , so really is not a question if it is faster, because it is! The question is if it's worth it to save 1-3 sec farther.

if it's 10-12 down to 9 then no,if it's 10-12 down to 6-7 then it's a nice upgrade.

It can be way faster on NVME depending on the game. Especially in a game with alot of loose and tiny files. Games with large compressed files isnt much faster and that is not due to OS but the CPU, game extracting the files as it loads, ram. etc. You get the idea.

Yes it is , the thing is how much does it matter to save few seconds if that loading screen shows once per 30 mins in average and pretty much after that you have no difference what so ever in game? Do not get me wrong i am not saying it is not faster , what i am questioning is if the premium ssds that end up costing 18-20 cents per gb worth it versus tlc models that cos 10-13 cents per gigabyte . The huge difference came when we moved from hhd after that is ...meh. Things might change with direct storage thought. And if you are someone that want for work something with random access like a very busy huge database . Or on the other end if you do 4k video editing and you need the sequencial speeds the premium per gb is woth it.
