We have had 10Gbps Fiber connection for home consumers for a little while allready here in Norway

It's available in urban areas here too. Only it's expensive as sh*t, and doesn't help the missing of good content availability. 🙄

Me want. I have 1Gbit in Romania for 16 USD, which is good, I guess. I pay for 1000mbps and 100 mbps upload and I get 930 mbps and 105 mbps upload, but faster than that it's always better..

I pay an awful lot of money for a 100Mbps connection over here in Qatar. almost a 180 bucks.

I pay about 1200 SAR (120 USD equivalent) for a 10 Mbps Uncapped line in my country (South Africa), and reach about 1Mbps peak download and 150 Kbps peak upload at max. That's considered 'very good' over here, so anyone wanting to complain GTFO. Us 3rd world country internet users weep when we read these articles

I only have 10mbps... but it's free. Hyperoptic are putting 1Gbps FTTP into major cities now though, it's already in London I believe and according to a letter I received a few days back it will shortly will be rolled out to my building in Manchester @ £30pm for 1gbps. https://www.hyperoptic.com/web/guest/home

Wish my ISP would think about raising speeds. my phone speed is faster atm then my fibre optics connection at home.

Bloody hate broadband in the UK. I have around 16mbps which for my area is considered lightning fast, as my brother who lives a mile away only gets 6. He can get fibre though whereas I can't as its not avalable in the village I live in.:wanker: It was only 7mbps for years, but one day I got an email from BT saying I may have a boost to my broadband speed. I thought "yea ok then, whatever you say" and then a week later it went upto 16-17mbps so really I can't complain too much as I know others in the UK have a lot slower broadband than me. The UK really needs to get its act together....:download:

I still have to get my broadband sorted out (moved house) so im paying atm £25 for an 1.8MB download speed and an 7gb download cap a month ... last month cost me £100 lol really should pull my finger out although I don't know how long I will stay where I am atm :/

I've got the option to upgrading to a 1Gbps connection, but it costs 230$ a month.. I think i'll just stick with my free 75/75Mbps fiber optic connection for now 🙂 Might consider upgrading to 300 or maybe 500Mbps wich is lesser than half the price than 1Gbps.

Meanwhile in UK, city Derby I pay 35 GBP for a 10mb line with 1.3mb/s max download. While some people pay 10$ for 100mb line. This is just unfair and rediculous. And best part is no matter what I don't even have any other option here. Internet through phone line is the only option, price is a ripoff, and this is UK. Meanwhile one friend I have from Latvia, says in their country which is 100 times poorer then UK, they have 500mb lines for 15$. Am I missing something here? I have money, jet no matter what I do I can't get a product I want. Fantastic, 21 century UK. Bravo!

i suggest you look around if your paying £35 for just broadband or is the phoneline inc too? you can get what you get now with plusnet/talktalk for a few quid a month plus line rental im with sky and i pay £20 + £15 line rental to sky for the fibre 40/10 product which is plenty fast enough for me

My ISP claims up to 20Mbps, I get between 3 and 4Mbps and pay $99 AUS /month which includes 500gb download/uploads which is pretty hard to reach at the slow speed you get. Australia is like the 3rd world for internet access

I'll bet with bandwidth like that, we could be streaming full 2160p at 60 fps like it was nothing...

That's pretty good in a lot of areas other than big cities. I max out at 2.1 mb/sec and 200 kb/sec upload, completely un-capped. I can get faster service (not that much faster though) but there doesn't seem to be a reason I'd need to at the moment. My phone has faster internet (which is really silly to me) and I rarely ever use that speed other than checking emails, weather and news. People in cities complaining about their already pretty good speed could use a little time in the sticks to appreciate their bandwidth more. 🙂

7GB/month cap means you can't download ****..... That sucks.
