For that price i can see it making sense for some people, not for me. I wish there was an official steamdeck app for remote play, even then I’d hardly ever use it. I hate playing on a portable unless it’s a retro game.

You can find a cheap 32" TV these days for $199 or less. And then you can play using the (relatively) big screen, instead of using this device's 8" screen. Are you supposed to use this while sitting on the loo or something? If it needs to be connected to the same wifi network as your actual PS5, it's kind of pointless. You ain't travelling anywhere while connected to your home network. Maybe you could tunnel it to your home network via 5G using your phone, or something, and a little bit more know-how than most console players would have, but what about the latencies?

This is not a portable console, it's an add on hardware for your PS5. So the price is not 199, it's a PS5 plus another 199 on top.

You need a PS5 and can only stream a game running on the PS5 to the device, there is no way to stream psplus games to it without them running on your PS5 first, basically Sony have decided to sell a Wii U type gamepad for your PS5 that like the Wii U gamepad you can stream your PS5 games to the device from your PS5.

This is for one who actually uses Remote Play a lot, it's a DualSense with screen. I just wonder how many people uses that. 😀

If this were made using binned PS5 SoCs and maybe a 720p display, I'd say this would be pretty awesome. Otherwise, it's too expensive for what it is.
