When Samsung make their EVO 850 2TB SSD's £250 then i'll be impressed. But a 16TB SSD with pie in the sky prices, no thanks.

Samsung 3.84 TB version costs $2200 so 16 TB should cost $9000 or maybe $9999.
1.92 TB costs $1100
Samsung consumers deserves to be fooled.
Samsung has the worst ratio on price/performance on ALL products, starting with TVs and ending with medicine equipment.

That's quite capacity. Not interested in anything over 1TB as those sizes are meant for storage of big files and I do not need to read movie in 15 seconds.
For games 2x 1TB would be superb. So i hope improvements in density can bring prices down. But my last 240GB Vertex 480a did cost 1/2 of original price of 128GB kingston which was my 1st SSD. So it already came 4 times cheaper per GB.
But HDD are still like 10~12 times cheaper than SSD, so I see a lot of space for improvement.

Whoa! This would be perfect for some 4k video rendering/storage.

Over here there aren't really other brands/models that would clearly beat Samsung in price/performance. Some second-rate brands are cheaper, such as Kingston, but that's not a viable choice. Those worth considering are around the same price.

Ultra HD Blu-ray Arrives by holidays....
If so then we gonna need huge capacity HD's no?
If BR is 44gb disk then wth will UHD hold? 160+gbs per disk ?
Only 7 full sized UHD per terabyte lol.
Were gonna need 100's of terabyte drives real soon.

I found this read interesting because the Disk association says we are allowed to make copies of UHD disks, yet it's a grey area in the UK Law atm that states it's illegal to make copies of copyrighted material.
"Just as UltraViolet has done for standard Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray discs will support digital copies, allowing users to access content “across the range of in-home mobile devices,” according to the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA). New information disclosed in an interview by BDA executive, Victor Matsuda, reveals how this will work: “There are two digital bridge features, copy and export,” Matsuda. “Copy permits a bit for bit copy to be stored on an authorized attached media drive. Export allows files to be transferred to an authorized mobile device."
"Update 8/6/2015 by Caleb Denison: The Blu-ray disc association confirmed it is prepared to issue licensing to manufacturers, and disclosed information regarding a new system that allows digital copies for home and mobile use."
By reading into that a little, i think we are about to see a new system for legal copies of one's owned media. I think you'll be allowed to authorize a UHD media so you can watch it on multiple machines.

I too believe that this thing will be tremendously expensive.
I also believe that 2 or max 4 TB is enough for a enthusiast's gaming rig.

Good to see. Yes it will be expensive but this means that affordable 16tb SSD's are just around the corner.

It effected every device, but the symptoms would only show under certain use cases.
