So same as my Asus ROG Swift PG278Q,144hz/1440p monitor from 2014? Except this one is curved and doesn't have g-sync... seems like a step backwards.

I had an old Samsung 950D or something, weird stand and it was a 120hz screen, pre G-Sync/Freesync and I loved it, i'd like for them to do it again with this monitor. Doesn't lock the user into Nvidia/AMD. So do we know if its G/Freesync? Or nothing ?

They do make some excellent panels I'll give em that. I'd buy a Samsung in a minute... if they had better features, meaning g-sync/freesync (preferably g-sync) and higher resolution along with high refresh rate of course.

Samsung and LG make most of the world's LCD. Most other's source from these two (except the chinese).
