Same as DDR3 2400 mhz compared to the 1st gen of DDR4... But on other hand if Intel try to keep board more than 2 year, it's a good option. My advice: don't get the fastest more expensive max size DDR5 at 1st... do that after a while.

I just looked on newegg.ca DDR5 4800Mhz cost $329 Canadian Now I bet you could spend $2000 Canadian on DDR5 memory if you want,but that is if you want. You can get 32gb DDR4 Trident Z 4000mhz for $169 u.s. on Amazon/us site. DDR5 I think starts at 3200mhz so the equivalent of DDR4 4000mhz would be DDR5 5800MHZ, I doubt it is going to come in at $329 can for 32 gb of DDR5 5800mhz..
