The New APU's gonna benefit.

Sure they'll benefit but at current ram prices it it's barely worth getting 3200mhz you will spend as much or more on just the ram as the CPU its self.
Undying
We wont even see 5000mhz ram until ddr5.

Didn't an earlier leak say that memory support should be higher then Zen/+, but no quite as exciting as some people were hoping?
Conflicting information. Background information to such claims would be nice.

So many leaks now, gotta oil up my rumors furnace and add some coal!

on my i7, with ddr3, the controller clock has to be double of ddr3 speed. ddr3 1600 (800mhz ) needs a uncore clock of 3200mhz.
How is that that in zen is the inverse? ddr4 4000, 2ghz real clock, 1ghz controller? seems weird to me.
Any link to explain differencies?

Hopefully the motherboard makers are able to produce a board that can handle 5000 memory.
On Intel they sometimes remove memory sockets to get better tracing and speed on the memory modules, maybe AMD board makers need to do the same.

I think DDR4 can reach 5ghz once a cpu and mobo can handle that speed although i really thought DDR5 would make it's debut for Zen2 and X570.
The best Zen was 4.35 so i'm thinking Zen 7nm will be around 4.5 boost and maybe even 4.7 on single or two cores but only the flagship chip will reach these numbers.

But lower CL and 3200MHz must still be better than for 4200MHz with higher CL?
