Its so weird seeing pc gamers only becoming cautious of pre-ordering and day 1 purchases only now and because of this game even though Ubisoft and EA have done nothing but release broken games every year at every release consistently. Why this game?
It could have been any other game in a bad state. It was just the first AAA game in a bad state since the new Steam refund system. The system seems to work.

You mean thank EA/Origin. They did it first and Valve was forced to months after by people complaining.
I think you mean thank the EU courts that ruled that digital products were eligible for refunds a while back prompting all these companies (and apple) to do this.

I believe pre steam refunds you were stuck with a bad game (COD ghosts) but now that we can get a refund it is safe to pre order and if its rubbish or does not work we can get a refund. Game developers will need to stop being lazy with there ports. I predict there will be delays before the PC release of games to ensure the Batman effect does not happen again.

+1. I feel more confident about pre-purchasing (from steam) now. Say if Black Ops 3 PC sucks, refund it!

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/03/sorry-europe-you-still-cant-get-refunds-on-your-steam-game-purchases/ Not to mention that EA's Origin has allowed refunds since it's inception in June 2011, while the EU ruling didn't go into effect until October the same year.
Huh, well whilst I hate to thank EA for anything I guess I must thank them for adding some competition to the market so now Valves Refund policy is better. However, origins good refund system (the one that is automatic and works) only applies to EA published games, not all games like steam. http://help.ea.com/en/article/returns-and-cancellations/ The "great game guarantee" was only introduced in 2013. If they had a system any better than steam since 2011 then all those problems with sim city a while back couldn't have happened, so I can only conclude they used a ****ty system like steam up until 2013. (Steam has always had a refund policy, its just been unbelievably **** and anti consumer)

I'll be waiting until the Steam Christmas sale to pick this up, IF it's working properly by then that is. Just picked up a copy of GTA V so that should keep me busy for a while
Instant gaming have been selling keys for it really cheap since before release. It's almost as if they knew there were gonna be issues. I recall now as well they were also selling Witcher 3 preorders really cheap for a while after the crunching rumours started.

Thank goodness for refunds, does WB think people are made of bandwidth ? do they consider people have monthly caps or still on slower internet?, they should be required to send out dvds pre-patched if a patch is over 15GB. everyone get a refund ASAP this game will never run right, even if they patch it they are just rushing and will introduce more bugs - get a refund before its too late.

I have a question... why the **** do they frame lock these games to begin with? Every excuse I've ever heard of why something might be locked at 30 ended up being total and utter BS. Such as breaking animations or other nonsense. 30fps is cringe worthy. For anyone who was looking forward to this game, don't. I played a good amount of it on the PS4 and it was incredibly boring. The only thing about it that was interesting is simply playing as Batman, grappling-hooking around the city and diving off of buildings. The actual game itself is boring, monotonous, poorly designed in general, and monotone as hell. Monotone to the point of reminding me of the generic grey blob FPS games genre; replace Batman with a character that people don't have an attachment to from other things and no one would play this game.

Simple it's because they directly port it from the console version to the PC most consoles run games at 30 FPS, they then base the specs on a game running at 30fps to a broader target audience rather then a game running at 60 fps which in reality will require much better hardware.. So they get all the money upfront keeping the average gamer who doesn't know any better happy, then later they release a patch which will unlock it for the other 5% who want 60fps and possible introduce a ton of new bugs since the game was probably never tested at 60 FPS. Take "need for speed rivals" as an example, at 60 fps the player would be super fast but AI Cars would be slow and also sometimes the draw rate couldn't keep up causing the textures not to load in time ...etc 🙂

100% unlikely valve's new refund policy has anything to do with EA or Origin, to think otherwise is foolish
