Can I just say, thank you for referencing a benchmark on guru3d instead of a different website's benchmark? =]

Proly should have linked the entire review instead. I hate when ppl link random benchmark charts (although Guru3D is not random). http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/anno-2205-pc-graphics-performance-benchmark-review,1.html Point being, stuff like this (Fury/X under-performing, unable to utilize all its HW glory) does happen, and it does not have to be Project Cars.

You haven't been paying attention, if you have never seen Fury/X being unable to significantly differentiate itself from Hawaii cards in the terms of raw fps.
I was paying attention. I dont want to spam this thread with pictures especially that they are of the topic but if you want, check this reviews, on 2560x1080 section, and see what I meant to say ( the difference between 290 and FuryX) -> Links removed. Let's keep this thread clean please.

Decided to play on my TV at 1080p and it was smooth as butter. As soon as I got through the intro level and got to Syberia, I started getting major stutter, especially in cut scene's/QTE's. I mean literally 5fps... http://i.imgur.com/MHmyN1P.jpg Anyone else getting this?

Seriously, how many of you are ready for the next generation of GPUs to arrive !? ๐Ÿ™„

Am curious as to the meaning of this quote from the review:
"Square Enix Rise of the Tomb Raider can be downloaded from Steam for the PC. That means no restrictive DRM bothered us, the game runs great if you select the right graphics options and yeah, it looks quite good as well."
Does this mean the game is like the Steam releases of Witcher 3 and Pillars of Eternity, which do not require that Steam even be running for those games to run? Just curious...

I'm ready for the D3d12-required game engines to start showing up...but giving nVidia time to catch up there is probably going to slow things down, I imagine. Those game engines will turn a new page in the history of xFire/SLI. Not talking about game engines that "support" d3d12 but will run happily all day on d3d11 hardware--but the game engines that *require* d3d12 GPU hardware & drivers (engines that won't run at all under d3d11.)

Great review Hilbert Could you do a quick test limiting the tessellation from Radeon Settings to X8, and/or without HBAO+(some say that it is a real resource hog)?

Great review Hilbert, any chance of 21:9 Ultrawide tests also in the future?( i know its a hell of a lot of work already )

I'm not ashamed to admit I sometimes under-drive my monitor to 48Hz and lock a demanding game to that. To be honest, I care about a game's "pixel quality" over frame-rate, for most titles.

It would be nice. 2560x1080 is picking up with users and 3440x1440 has quite a few as well. Though 2560x1080 is about 10% loss of fps on avg vs 1920x1080 in my experience.

^^ haha! But yeah, people slag of COD for not being graphically impressive, but this is worthy of a $1000 gpu.

Exactly the ultra wide format is becoming popular. although biased the 3440x1440 is where the enthusiast sits and what the site is about, point being at least cover that.

Just to be clear this game uses Denuvo DRM which has notable performance overhead, right?
