Great review Hilbert! Love the aesthetics on this card and wish Zotec ditched the DVI connector for a full single slot GPU! Now if they can release future Vega/Navi and Volta cards like this when I finally get ready for 4K (next year, maybe...) 😀

Very nice. It's just too bad the DVI connector can't be removed to make this a single-slot card. If a GPU comes out of the box with single-slot liquid cooling, the mounting bracket might as well be single-slot too.

When will ZOTAC release the 1080 Ti ArticStorm Mini in the US? It is not listed for sale anywhere.

Hi Hilbert, thanks for the review. I have a few questions that maybe you can answer, i have a custom loop on a ncase m1 and i was looking for this gpu to make an upgrade from a 980ti reference with a ek block. My main questions are: 1) Is the block made from cooper with nickel platting or is made from aluminum? 2) What are the dimmesion from the black block on the side of the card? If you can can you measure the width of the card including the side block? 3) Also can you flip the black block so you can trow the tubing going to the cpu side of the motherboard? I kinda think that Zotac missed the point of this card... If you are gonna do a mini card for a custom loop and force the end user to route the tubes on a weird way and not make it directly connectable to the cpu seems to me that it will consume more volume space that a reference card with a ek block that have the option to throw the tubing from the front or the back of the card. The one you have used Hilbert seems to be from 2007 and is not availbable in my country. Can I just use any closed loop liquid cooling system built for CPUs`on this GFX?

Yeah my old trusty Zalman Reserator XT is quite handy. To my knowledge, there are no 'ready' kits without getting yourself into problems if you meant LCS kits. EK has some stuff, but really this is intended to be added to a regular G 1/4 threaded loop/fitting for your normal liquid cooling setup. it's a very common and regular fitting though, easily added into any loop with normal tubing.

Aww.. I wish I understood what that meant. 🙂 Im still rocking my Antec Sonata 1 case (from what 2002?), that I retrofitted with dampening materials, and I cut out the front HD cages and installed a 120mm fan, so that I get better airflow in to the case. Its super fine, silent and all, but I am planning on replacing my 150W 1070 with a 275W 1080 Ti, and all that extra heat makes me worry that my fans will go top speed in order to deal with that heat. The watercooled 1080 Ti you wrote about makes me want to shift to an aircooled GPU setup, but I would not know what parts to buy. Do you know of any *loop* that could cool a GPU AND a CPU? Cheers PS: I intend on purchasing a new, good, silent case with all the bells and whistles when I get this 1080 Ti.
