very nice review, but yes it would be nice to review the 10gig lan, to compare with pro 10gig board.

Very nice review thanks for it.
I am a bit confused concerning your comment on the storage part of the conclusion.
My question is,if it is better to have an M.2 ssd on the appropriate slot or get an adapter and put it on pci-e.
I happen to have the maximus extreme viii (not assembly) and i have a samsung 950 pro on the m.2 slot, but it feels kinda slow, although i have all the bios settings, the win driver and everything as it is supposed to be done.So i m thinking would it make any difference if i put it on pci slot with an adapter?

Thanks for a great review and a good read as always 🙂
Nice looking board there indeed , but wow it has a high price tag for sure , more than double what i paid for my gigabyte z170x gaming 7 🙂 .

Insane price and I personally deeply dislike the bronze-ish orange color scheme ASUS adapts for their highest tier hardware. I know red/black has become a bit "cliche", but it's still by far my favorite color scheme and certainly more versatile than this new thing.

2x SATA Express ports? I get you can still use 4x SATA ports that make up the SATA Express ports but that is really disqualifying since SATA Express in that form is dead. M.2 and U.2 only please.
