I've had 1 or 2 logitech joysticks but that was many years ago. They were decent compared to what else was on the market at the time.

Logi? LOGI? Are you serious?
And what's with the damn logo? It looks like it's from the 90s or something.
Same here.
I've only owned 3 of their mice (basically each of them has lasted me ages), the MX518 which was my favourite mouse. Many people call it the best mouse ever made and with good reason. This little mouse lasted for about 5 years until the cable started having problems. I decided to upgrade.
Then I had a G500. Very solid mouse, I like the fact that it had weights. I like heavier mouses. This one lasted me around 7 years I believe. I changed it because well.. I raged at some point and smashed it. I ****ed up the scroll wheel pretty bad. I raged because it was double clicking randomly. I couldn't play starcraft at all.
Then I pulled the trigger on its progeny, the G500s. Great mouse. Same feel same everything just better accuracy. Exactly what I was looking for.
Started randomly double clicking after like half a year. Sent it back and curiously enough the guys couldn't replicate it. I received it back and weirdly enough the double clicking was gone. Now it's beginning to double click again. Thankfully I don't play SC anymore lol. Had this for 2 years.
It's a shame they changed the MX-518, that design on the G400s (its successor) is horrific to say the least. And this laser mania is driving me insane. Next mouse I'm buying is going to be an optical one. My brother has a Razer Deathadder but I can't seem to be comfortable with it no matter what I do. The shape is weird and that plastic makes me sweat.
Well I haven't noticed durability drops. My G500 has been through hell and back for 7 years. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that they need to change their click switches. This is the second mouse (G500s) that's started double clicking randomly.
Not sure why you're calling their speakers garbage, I have a Z-5500 that my mother purchased as a gift 8 years ago. Still going strong.
My brother has X-530 speakers. You don't start avalanches with them like with my Z-5500 but they do sound pretty damn good considering how cheap they are. Had them for 3 years.
If you're looking for sound fidelity, I suggest you get some professional-grade studio monitors. If you're looking for a relatively cheap, punchy and loud set speaker these Z-5500 do wonders. And like I said. 8 years. The only thing wrong with them is that the LCD's backlight has weakened over time and that they do tend to pop those fuses quite fast if you **** with the power cord too much.
They are great speakers for the price.

Sheer nonsense: LogiTECH was and is the name of the
brand we all KNOW and RECOGNIZE as a synonym of reliability and quality. Very easy to spot and remember, eye-catching and good sounding. Why to replace the horse that is winning the race?
Logy, itself sounds and looks like a red-neck, or hillbilly from the remotest part of Wyoming, if you ask me...
Well, somebody's daughter or son or nephew had to be given a generously paid job, I guess...

As miffed as I am at failing buttons and buggy software as everyone else, I'll have to say two things in their favor:
1. Their support is great. When my G700 started having issues with the left mouse button, they immediately sent a new G700s, no troubles, no further questions asked.
2. There has yet to be a competitor that offers what I get with the G700 series mice: 12 whopping buttons without mode switching or a whole thumb keyboard, I love this thing.
And that's why I'm still living with their flaws, the competition simply hasn't got what I want.

Personally, I don't have any bias toward positive or negative for logitech, and I don't really care about this reinventing brand thingy. However, my experiences with their products are not entirely good.
I have 2 wireless logitech mouses and having problems with both.
One, the wheel is not working, and the other one keeps on making unintentional double clicks.
I have Z-5300 speakers. I thought they were good until I bought a pair of cheap studio monitors. After 4 years the front speakers broke, and I need to use the rear speakers as fronts, so no more surround. Now I only use the subwoofer, combined with the monitors.

The only negative thing they're doing now in terms of mice is the shapes. Everyone looking for a superior ambi mouse desired a G100 with the G502 sensor...
In comes logitech with the diamond shaped G303 :x

They finally released new drivers, just in case you guys missed it in all the excitement

A reason people like them was because of the old harmony remotes. Which they promptly remade into the crap they are now. Bring back the harmony one/900. These current crap/pos/total garbage flagship remotes suck it hard. Its a shame they bought harmony to turdify it.

gamepady wise, Rumble pad 2 series was their best, their F series gamepads were just meh, quality was worse and terrible deadzones. Logitech software for it was useless and only to provide drivers for it

I believe the very best mouse available at the minute is the Final Mouse 2015.
This mouse was made by pro gamers for pro gamers, although it's not a Logitech mouse it was built on the success of the MX518 and they listened fully to what gamers want.
There is no software to install and is plug & play with all windows versions.
This is a truly amazing mouse for FPS games and any other games you use it for.
More and more pro gamers are now using this mouse and there's a very good reason why. The build quality and Japanese Omron Switches and teflon nano coating ensures long life.
Plus, FinalMouse is trusted by Pros as having the best tracking in the world.
http://finalmouse.com/ Sorry Logitech this should of been the MX replacement.

On a technical level the best mice are actually the Logitech G502 and G303 (both using the 3366 sensor).
Downside is the shape and/or weight though.

I don't mind the logo, think its cool, very minimalistic. Hatters gonna hate :P
Yeah 8.70.xx also removed that crap bonjour, I thought I'm gonna stick @ 8.53? forever because it, tnx logitech.

Why would hat makers in particular care about this?
Seems like a load of fluff, the new logo doesn't appear to be as professional to me. Probably trying to reinvent themselves to push costs up and pull in more of the younger market.
