$500?!?! They must be crazy!! My Logitech Z2200 2.1 THX certified are still going strong and cost a 1/4 of that price!!

Yamaha RX-V375 receiver + Powered Subwoofer and awesome home built speakers (but you could find a decent enough 5.1 set and still be under the $500 mark) costs less than that pair of tiny, limited speakers with drivers smaller than my tweeters. Even if they are really good for what they are (which I doubt because...Razer) they're only worth about $60. $500 is just...insulting.

I was giving them the befit of the doubt, and assuming they are top notch build quality, and sound incredible for their size and design. But even if they do I would not pay one fifth of the asking price. And there is no way in Hell they could possibly sound anywhere near as good as my home built speakers, no mass produced speaker could, because they do not use the components like these have.
