very attractive, except for the soon-to-be-dated "Avatar:Frontiers" labelling

I like it actually. That and the Bethesda one. Now release the 7950XTX or 8x00XTX series with fixed 4K RT!

Thankfully I wouldn't look at my GPU while gaming anyway.

Others may look at it while you play. :P

Enemies?!? Can I distract them? :P It's a reasonably looking GPU. Dunno what to say... yet I always wondered why we don't paint our own... beyond just placing stickers or different shrouds on the cards.

What is broken? Their RT performs as it should, around the same as the 30 series GPU's maybe a few percent faster. Also, they can't really release anything more performant on RDNA3. Navi31 is the largest die they have in the RDNA3 family. The 7900XTX is the full die. So other than a node shrink to 3nm (not gonna happen), a clockspeed increase, or faster memory they aint going to release anything that would dramatically increase RT performance. Until the 8000 series but even then rumours point towards the top die having issues and may actually be completely cancelled. So we could only see 8700XTX as the highest card in the RDNA4 family.

AMD acquired Xilinx and is already incorporating fgpa's into their product stack do not be surprised when AMD incorporates an fgpa into the gpus as a RT engine. the IP is there the only issue was 7xxx was already designed and being ES'd when the acquisition happened. already the Epyc and Phoenix Point cpus have fgpas

Maybe for 8000 series, if rumours are true about Navi41 being cancelled then expect this in Navi51 (9000 series). AMD just announced that the 7000 series family is completed now with the 7700 and 7800 GPUs launching in September. So don't expect anything new until mid to late next year.

The RT performance falloff at 4K is crazy noticable. It is nowhere linear like from 1080-1440p. I am unsure why. I am new 4K OLED snob now hence my comment. I want to buy the 7900XTX but need the RT performance up to snuff at 4K for the current prices. Let us see the FSR3 performance later when it comes out but as I posted in other threads, for the money, we are paying for bare metal performance.

that was implicit in my comment (re:7xxx already being ES'd time if acquisition)

Like I said, what is broken? Nothing. Their RT performs as it does, because that is how it performs. Performance tanks when using RT on RTX2000, 3000, and even some 4000 series GPU's which rely on DLSS and FG to bring fps numbers back up whilst sacraficing IQ and latency. RX7000 series performs around the same as RTX3000 series in terms of RT, which is a huge jump from the RX6000 series which was in most cases worse than RTX2000 when it came to RT.

I would be interested in a case having matching colors. Don't judge me!

The Yeston RX 7900 XTX SAKURA looks way better.

It does seem like their done. Maybe if FSR3 doesnt look too bad they might get a few stragglers and experimenters to pick up some of their high end offerings. Midrange AMD cards seem to hit a spot, should do well with the crowd that plays not too demanding popular games like Fortnite etc.

I really like the unique coloring and one-off designs on these promo parts. I do wish they wouldn't plaster labeling/branding on the card directly though, looks tacky (and quick to be dated). Give me more weird parts and less logos + text please.

Man, I'd have love to replace my rather drab MERC310 7900 XT with this! It'd add a little pizzazz to an otherwise plain/vanilla looking setup.
