My RX580 is half dead, but I wouldn't touch this card with a 10 meter pole if I needed one. Better just upgrade my Ryzen 2600 to a 5600G and sit it out.

So... PCI-E 3 4x also? 🙄 Maybe worse than my outdated RX470 o_O

my only gripe with this card is its wired in x4 which is fine on pci-e 4.0 and up but what happens when its at pci-e 3.0 x4 will it be limited if it isn't then i see no issues with the entirety of this card even the price while still on the high end if it maintains msrp and doesn't get scalped its still decent

it seems the CPU people forced the GPU people to do everything they can to push ryzen, I can imagine lots of newbies being told that replacing their skylake/ryzen1000/2000 platform to "truly enjoy" these crippled GPUs would be a good idea, pathetic.

despite the narrow memory bus, it still has more bandwidth than an rx 560, so all things considered it could be worse, the pcie 4.0 x4 config shouldn't be an issue on newer platforms, since the net bandwidth is basically the same as pcie 2.0x16, it is sufficient, where it will suffer is on older platforms that do not support pcie gen 4 , It should really be priced in the <$150 but given the market situation , we're lucky it isn't >$250 msrp

I'll wait for Hilbert, JayzTwoCent, HardWare Unboxed reviews (hopefully on both PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 mobos) to see if there's any bottleneck at 1080P gaming. Curious to see the effects on PCIe 3.0 mobo actually....

I'm actually using a Vega 64 with PCI-E 3.0 x8, witch is equivalent. The performance loss is minimal compared to x16 bus. I guess It will be alright for RX 6500 as long the MB has PCI-E 4.0. Would It run x4 on a PCI-E 3.0 MB?

This card shouldn't exist.

Seems that I am wrong on my statement.

My theory is that AMD want to make something that is so unappealing to miners so people who just want to play video games have at the very least something to purchase from team red.
