I am on Endeavour OS and yes , I use the MESA drivers.
That's the reason to upgrade from my RX580, if anything.
Maddness
I'd certainly consider one of these for my sons PC, except for the crazy fact in my country these are now more expensive than any of the RTX 2070 super cards. Everything Nvidia has been discounted big time, but AMD is expensive. Just crazy.

What!!! 5 months of crashes and black screens, only to get hosed! AMD was almost there. I feel used!!

Hmm thought that was the 5600 curious as even the reference 5700 non-XT has a 1x 8-pin and 1x 6-pin.
EDIT: Yeah they do have a 1x 8 and a 1x 6 unless it's the 5600 so that's plenty of power for capping out the GPU short of boosting it further via More Power Tool or something. 😀
Or perhaps 2x 8-pin which I think is only on the triple fan models (Devil, Nitro and some others.) but doesn't really do much they pull more power but it doesn't provide much of a benefit they all cap out around 2000 - 2050 without some tweaking or just pushing them via soft modding past this little spike into the 2100 range but that requires a good bin and excellent cooling for the junction GPU temp sensors.
Which yep they're kinda sensitive both GPU core and memory though tweaking it to hit around 2 Ghz is usually doable but I think the non-XT has a few different bios parameters too.
(20% power limit in Wattman instead of 50% as a important difference if the GPU needs the extra to hit and sustain a higher boost clock speed.)
EDIT: Wonder how the Navi20's will do, if some of these parameters affect this possible infinity fabric as a cache feature and it's speed that might make them even more finicky to tune but maybe the OverDrive and Power Play method has been further fine tuned too.
Higher max speeds too for the non 6900's if the driver info and table is near accurate for the final data.

Mine has max +10% power but i use MPT and increase it to 30%
base power is 160w and with a clock of 2000 (1970~) it goes to around 210w
I run into heat issues if i try further and i dont change the vram speed at all as it doesnt clock well
