if you playing 1920x1080p then gtx 980 sli will max out farcry 4 with gameworks 60 fps coz my 970 sli would do 60fps , at 1440p you be 60fps most time maybe drop below , i can max out witcher 3 at 1440p dsr with hairworks on and most time its 60 fps but battles it drop down in 50,s but at 4k noway turn of AA leave hairworks on at ultra i get about 30 fps at 4k with 970 sli

ive got 970 sli and its not gameworks which cripple my performance, the biggest problem i get in games is running out of vram and at 1920x1080p im running out the 3.5gb vram , gta 5 if i turn everything up to max i run out vram at 1080p , so this new fury x how it will play games at 4k with 4gb vram

I have a GTX 980 and for the past couple of months the NVIDIA drivers have been terrible. Drivers crash even when I'm just browsing the internet on chrome. And if I turn shadowplay on I can't play CS:GO because of frequent crashes.

this is what i've been waiting for (i just hope those figures are correct) if the pricing is also correct then this card comes in 200$ AUD cheaper than the GTX980TI for pretty much the same performance...Nvidia drivers have been woeful for the last 3 releases, i hope ATI pull another 4890 trick, i loved that card, of course we'll have to wait until all this is confirmed, but it looks good so far

We will all have to wait and see how they really perform in DX12 games, when they are available, It's where these cards will really shine, whatever it is nvidia or amd.
Both new current nvidia and amd cards claim to play smooth at 4k, so far in DX 11 games, it is not so smooth imo.
I mean flawless 60fps+ at ultra settings, and with a single card of course. This will happen with dx12, so its now really up to the game developers to do the magic and give us amazing Graphics With dx 12 and these cards 🙂

Sometimes when you have problems with drivers, and others say they dont, its your computer fault.
Bunch of programs runing in background, bunch of scraps from uninstalled programs remain in registry or windows temp etc.
Sometimes you need to clean the windows 'till blead you know? 🙂
If errors still persist reinstall windows or you have hardware trouble.

I've been on this 970 from it's release day and I've only ever had any kind of crash in TW3 (which everyone had). Other than that, I've never had a bsod, driver crash, freeze or any other issue.
Same goes for AMD, I've had "driver stopped responding" there on one driver and that's it.
Honestly, majority of people's issues are pebkac.

Yeah, AMD really need their version of Inspector, I can't believe they haven't realized that yet.

Anyone see the PCGamer twitch last night ? I couldn't stay up to 3am.

I think people are just stuck in the past with drivers.
AMD used to have the poorer drivers, but were talking, 3-4+ years ago...
They have since improved to a point where I'd say they are pretty even.
Both have their downsides and bugs from branch to branch, but, so does all software...
The rest comes down to personal preference. I like Nvidia currently, but would I stay away from AMD due to drivers? No. It wouldn't be a factor in that decision!

So... Is it legit to say Fury-X = 980ti watercooled?
Maybe slighly above but not that much right?
