I wouldn't had any problem to buy on windows store, but the fact of the application being running on a UWP being with no support of most of the things, really puts down my buy.
Well thank god i only buy on sale, so i hope that until then they can sort out the things.

Reading all this and getting very upset and then I read people's comments having no problem at all with these exclusive BS and MS forcing its OS in our throats with any way they can like they got gold fever! Some people all they care is to play a game!
I just wish there was an alternative OS I would never install Windows again. I know there is Linux but the support for gaming isn't there as it should be. I will stay with Win 7 as much as it lasts. Don't feel upgrading to Win 10 even if I paid 2000$ last year for my PC. I don't care about DX12 or its benefits there are other issues that matter most. I hope people will boycott MS the way they deserve!

Mircosoft marketing windows 10 actually would be more effective if it would be on steam, as it would be more alluring for people. Now that it's going to be only in windows store will turn a lot of people down.

So big, so angry, so dead.
Good news though, now I can upgrade my windows 10 partition to windows 8.1 in peace.
I wonder if they will eventually change their minds when it start to sell like crap.

Hehe they'll probably think they haven't been pushy enough. 😀

Hopefully they introduce overhauled version of their store with proper fullscreen support etc. Microsoft holds Windows 10 and Xbox gaming press event Feb. 25 maybe we get more details.

99.9% are phone games. When you see this all the restrictions that MS is enforcing for Win Store starts to make sense, because Win Store is intended for casuals, soccer moms and similar target audience who play Angry Birds for 5 mins on touch devices and hybrid laptops.
All that is exact opposite of what hardcore PC gamers want and expect.
Even if proper fullscreen support is added there are countless other problems with Windows Store platform. It's years (maybe even decade) behind Steam in features, functionality, convenience, awesomeness etc.
Just look at this ObscureangelPT
I've been trying to rationalize all this problems, and i came to one conclusion.
Well the problem is for sure microsoft, but not only, i remember some months ago i was playing Beach Buggy Racing on my Windows Phone 8.1 and i remember to test it out on Windows 10 installing throgh their store.
So i installed the game on my notebook plug it in the xbox 360 gamepad which the game recognizes immediataly in the middle of the game, i pushed the graphics of the mobile game on the PC to the maximum and in some sequences i noticed framedrops.
So i was like, what the hell is going on? a crappy Nvidia GT 740M can't handle a mobile game at 60FPS?
Then i had gone to investigate, and with MSI AB open side to side with the game, i notice that the game was using the intel GPU instead of the nvidia, quickly i searched for a way to force the nvidia to render the game, that is routine procedure for new games when nvidia drivers are not quick enough to deliver profiles for their laptop clients and everythings goes well, i usually just need to choose the .exe of the game and force it to nvidia.
Problem is for UWP apps its not possible, neither nvidia or AMD have options to it.
So many of the problems like Vsync always on, lack of SLI or CF, may come for the fact that GPU drivers don't know WTH is a UWP app.
the lack of MSI AB or SweetFX mods may come by the fact that they always worked on .EXE and never was expecting to make use of it on UWP apps, so nothing is prepared for it yet, i remember that MSI AB took half year to support 64 bits games and DX11
So i guess the fact that the microsoft store apps not being regular old .exes is bringing most of the issues listed in here, since nobody yet support it.
and i too that guess Microsoft is not going back, so i hope that at least nvidia or AMD push a way to control through their control center the games cause its pretty stupid i can't force a nvidia GPU on a laptop envoirement for Quantum break or any stupid mobile game, that should fix half of the problems of the store.

One thing seems sure, microsoft wouldnt do that if this game isnt a "game changer" it will probably have the best graphics possible. While microsoft seems to be loosing on the xbone side of things this tatics (dirty tatics) should help to integrate the adoption of the xbone and pc for users who only have one of the parts. Other thing is they are trashing their name even more, thats just disgusting, and they probably think that buying the world will make up for the things and people will forget or forgive. This remember me one brand thats have been making some shuty things in the game community... Well lets see if people will really skip those temptations in favor of what they love...:infinity:

I get the impression from some people over here, that win10 upgrade wouldn't have been neccessary if the game would have been in steam. Newsflash, game is DX12 only, which needs Win10 to work (WDDM 2.0).
fantaskarsef
Newsflash, what LIGuitar77 said. 🙄
If it wouldn't be that WDDM 2.0 and dx12 were win10 exclusive, then yes, most people wouldn't even have needed win10.
