Yeah most likely. Having worked with earlier WoS laptops, the experience is quite locked down.

Darn, never used arm windows so I did not knew . Hmmm I guess they see it as a chance to lick things down . Next thing you know you have to unlock the bootloader to install your own os... 🙁

I personally have managed to successfully install Linux on a WoS laptop, but it was a painful experience and not recommendable. Reinstalling Windows is relatively easy but you get no control over the configuration, and you're given Windows 10 Basic (they expect you to pay a full license to do things like install programs outside the Windows Store or change the wallpaper). I get the impression newer models are easier to work with but I will not be experimenting with Qualcomm again any time soon. Honestly, I wasn't really looking to buy that Snapdragon laptop but the one I owned before it got killed and I needed to replace it.

I never used an arm laptop , but I really do not like the mobile phones lockdown and ask for mama Samsung or xaomi to unlock your bootloader and they can even deny you that .... F**k off is my answer to em .... I should be able to do what ever I want with it not getting their permission! What I am afraid is that they will go on that route with arm laptops as well .
