Prices are quite a bit higher in denmark... i preordered two of these (will get cancelled, if my current gpu's manages 4k 60 fps in shadow of the tomb raider) https://www.komplett.dk/product/1090735/hardware/pc-komponenter/grafikkort/msi-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-gaming-x-trio# That price is equivelant to 1600 USD, or 1350 euro... but the most expensive card is this sh1tty asus card https://www.komplett.dk/product/1090964/hardware/pc-komponenter/grafikkort/asus-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-dual# That is the equivelant of 1475 euro...

People keeps preordering and they didn't even know the card performance, as i see it this generation of Nvidia cards will be a big thing for home scientist, but for gaming... i can't see the point

Here in the US the cheapest RTX 2080Ti starts at $1,150US + add taxes and the real price will be = $1,300-$1,400US Dollars 😱 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487402 , while the most expensive is $1,250US https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487401 + taxes = $1,450 - $1,550US Dollars o_O , depending on where you live the taxes might be more or less. The prices are utterly BS and really outrageous 🙁 . The most i have spend on graphics cards has been $1,000US once on a Titan and once a GTX690 , but i'm not willing to pass the $1,000US Dollars mark for a video card , there is set limit for me at 1K , no more than that ever. Nvidia needs to be made aware that they cannot keep upping the prices on every new vga release. Vote with your wallet people. Just imagine what the RTX Titan will cost , maybe $2,500US ~ $3,000US 😛 . This GTX1080Ti i have still serves me well and i play at 4K 🙂 ,will keep using it for a long time to come , no plans for upgrading with this BS prices.

What the fracking hell is nvidia smoking? I get that resalers like to jacking prices up but nvidia are they crazy? watch next gen after this they will tack on another 100-200 to there cards. I wont be pc gamer if this happens. as of right now IF i make new pc it will AMD cpu but if GPU prices keep going they way they going, I wont even bother with PC any more

10000 Danish hard earned kroner....lol.. forget it , no way i would Ever pay that amount..my 980ti is still a decent card, even in 3440x1440. Think i w8 until the fanboys sell out of their 1080ti.

Sadly, I don't think Nvidia is marketing their top tier card to the minimum wage crowd, nor have they ever. If someone is making minimum wage, owning a 2080 Ti should be the last thing on their concern list.

I don't count on these prices to drop that much after they are launched, maybe 50/100€

A bit too rich for me, my 1080Ti cost ~805euro delivered last September and I had to spend a month convincing myself it was worth it lol, tbf I can play most games @3440x1440 near maxed at 60FPS. I can see why its expensive though as yields are probably low with such a large chip but I hope this increasing cost trend doesn't continue.

I love gaming for breaking down global borders, a friend is a university business professor who was earning 350€ per month in Bulgaria - makes buying a decent gaming PC tough though, even employed in a good job. He now works unskilled care work in the uk earning many times what he did in a "good" job back home in an eu member country. Helps me appreciate my situation and relative ease of buying even an overpriced gaming rig.

I'm tellin yall if these prices become the norm for GFX cards then the next console will fly off the selves. I too will drop PC gaming and just go back to consoles.

Sure it's expensive but what's the difference between the top tier GPU and what AMD and Intel do with processors? Intel and AMD both have processors for $1,800+.

Could be first time I skip an Nvidia gen since FX series. Even though I'm sure prices will settle down in a few months and a 2080 will be around $600-650 which is close to the max I'll spend for it. Just have no faith Turing will be around for long. Either AMD or Nvidia themselves will upend it with new 7nm parts sooner than later.

Still interested to see how over priced the 2060 and 2070 will be. Those are the meat and potato GPUs.
