At February all retailers will have proper prices and more 5600 xt's. Now someone only has to be extremely careful to buy a variant that can be absolutely flashed with faster clocks out of the box.
That gigabyte that card above is the same card many reviews tested it should have faster bios already flashed. For a 250eur its a hell of a deal, even 1660ti costs more than that.

We got the Red Devil 5600 for $289 at Microcenter.

Not everyone has a MicroCenter near them. Closest one to me is a 6hr round-trip.....

I saw a review on that. That card can be overclocked at just one volt! That is amazing. With that card is supposed to be able to do over 1,700 megahertz at just one volt. With overclock potential 1800 megahertz. The downside is that it's a little toasty. The Thermals are not designed to cool the card but to keep it more quiet. Which still can be overwritten using software. I find this intriguing. And precursor to what this Radeon RDNA 2.0 can do. I wouldn't be surprised if these cars are between 1 volt and 1.1 volts

The stock fan curve on it is really low...At first I assumed it was because of noise from the fans running full, but even at 100% fan speed it's not that loud. It does have both a 6 and 8 pin power connector, so definitely it's made to take some power.

So far no issues with my brothers. Also no issue with my 5700

In my mind because of the VBIOS fiasco that AMD caused themselves I don't think that the 1660 Super and the 1660 Ti are obsolete just yet mainly because not all 5600Xt cards can handle the new VBIOS and the 14Gbps memory speed. If any user is going to get this card and want to use the new VIBOS that AMD released I would treat it as getting a 5700 to flash it as a 5700XT is to get a card that has sufficient cooling like the power color and sapphire cards. Also the 5600XT as well as the 2060 KO are very limited in their OC potential because of the grossly limited power limits for obvious reasons. Also even though it is out of stock right now Nvidia was selling the 2060 FE for $300. The only reason why the 1660 super or 1660 Ti would be because of the 2060 KO when it is in stock. If it were me and wanting to get an AMD card I would save a little extra cash and grab a 5700 with great cooling and flash it to a 5700XT.
Undying:

If it wasnt for the bios mess 5600xt would just be an amazing deal. Its closing in at 2060super and rx5700 at 289$ is impressive. thats a nice review.
I agree if it weren't for the BIOS bait and switch fiasco it would be a great deal. Also some cards aren't capable of using the new aggressive version of the VBIOS that AMD released. Even MSI during a live stream chastised AMD for doing this and they aren't even bothering applying the VBIOS update because of stability. Some versions of the 5600XT cannot handle the 14 Gbps memory speed. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/not-all-amd-rx-5600-xt-14-gbps Here is an article about it. Also we don't know if the new 14Gbps memory speed will cause the card to degrade faster because the card was only meant to run at 12Gbps which is the official AMD spec for these cards.

Tbh I'd just buy a card that comes certified with the new bios. Not because I can't flash it but because every time a game crashed I'd be thinking "was it the new bios"? It probably wasn't but it might be, and I don't want my game to crash every now and then - so I'd end up leaving on the slower bios just to make sure because in the end stability > a few fps. It's just one more point of failure I could do without having to worry about.

Yep. Thats why I think ppl should just cough up a few $ more for the 5700 and be done with any uncertainties the 5600xt may have.

I found this curious because on PowerColor's website, its stock 5600 XT model (AXRX 5600XT 6GBD6-3DH/OC) lists 12Gbps memory in the specifications section. I reached out to PowerColor to ask if that meant the memory on that card can run at 14Gbps, but is clocked slower because it's a reference model. The answer basically amounts to 'sort of.' "Our Stock model 5600 XT follows AMD's reference specs but we share [the same] memory modules as Red Devil and Red Dragon. You would ask why we don't run at 14Gbps then—the reason is Red Devil and Red Dragon have a higher PCB layer count, 10 versus 8 found on the stock 5600 XT, which means the memory signal is much cleaner and stable with our premium models. Having a 10 layer PCB is important to the higher clocks on the GDDR6 14Gbps memory," PowerColor said. In other words, PowerColor's stock 5600 XT is in fact using memory chips validated to run at 14Gbps, the same as found on its Red Devil and Red Dragon variants, but still might not be able to run at that speed because of the lower cost and lower quality printed circuit board (PCB) design.
