With SLI/MGPU getting rarer, could this be an upgrade for myself? I play zero new games due to not liking to compromise with visuals, so i don't know how rare it is nowadays, but i don't see many people with SLI/CF anymore.

I should have paid more attention, since i know how well GTAV scales i should have went there first. I am planning on moving to 4k soon though, so it's not exactly futureproof and with SLI no longer being available... Still, great review as always and a very nice card if it does sell at near to MRRP.

Not as i remember. But there is also no xx60 card before that costed 350$.

Ray tracing seems untouched by overclocking, it is within error margin or load out differences. I kinda wonder why rtx series deny the same or identical boost of non ray tracing benchmarks.
Maybe memory bandwidth is limiting factor here. While SM and RT cores see decrease similar to performance loss, even reference 2060 is clocked higher than reference 2070. Therefore its RT already suffers from other source. That may mean memory OC can do some good for it, or maybe timing tuning would be better way around this high granularity workload. As of Hilbert's results which show reference card too.

But results already showing only ~4% improvement over stock w/o OC and ~10% improvement over reference when this card is OCed by 22% on core and 15% on memory. It is possible that using software OC for memory allows nVidia's driver to worsen timings. Tuning it in VBIOS would likely do more good. With that OC clock, it should by all means be equal to 2070 in all workloads except those where memory bandwidth/latency is not sufficient.

393euros in romania ...okkkkk , and funny enough it's the cheapest RTX2060 you can find here , meanwhile asus want's 510e for it's ROG model :| , same price as the cheapest RTX2070

For this price and performance, Nvidia just killed RTX 2070. I wouldn't pay 200 dollars more to have only 5% more performance.

Its not only about raw performance. With 2070 you get more Vram and higher number of RT cores. Nvidia knows what they are doing.

How do I read the labels in the charts? On pages page 12 -24 it is the Gaming Pro and on page 29 there's a Gaming Pro and a Gaming Pro OC. Gaming Pro is sold by Palit as a 1680 MHz clock card and Gaming Pro OC is a product sold with an 1830 MHz clock rate but you also overclocked the Gaming Pro OC to 2050 MHz. The labels are confusing.

Not in RTX Paradigm. There 2060 and 2070 perform barely good enough to run 1080p. Framerate drops are not pretty.

Not seeing this card, but it's nice to see in-stock 2060's at £275 + VAT, so pretty much selling here at $350. Kinda tempted...

It's a good upgrade from GTX 970 if you can't wait until yr 2020 when NVidia will likely release GPUs with a big performance bump on 7nm process node. Thing is RTX 2060 only has 6GB VRAM, and I don't really see that being a relevant card much beyond 2020, so I would see it as a short term ownership. I guess if you really need to upgrade from GTX 970 then wait for used Pascal prices to drop sharply and buy something like a really cheap (not yet) GTX 1070 to last you 1-2yrs until NVidia launch those tasty 7nm cards, don't spend much on it though.

I probably should wait another year or so, i need more system memory and adding more of that would be a waste of money unless i also replace the board and CPU. A GPU is always a more "glamorous!" upgrade though.

What is the point in review same product from different vendors a lot of times ? (except marketing stuff). I would only hand pick the ones that deserve a review... I mean why see 10 x 2060 when there are quite of lot of new hardware each month that maybe would interest more people. Who bothers to read the same thing over and over again and clap at +/- 3% clock speed and 1-2% perf gain or loss ...

Different cooling designs. Different memory manufacturer. Different overclock app. Different clock speed.
