Interesting. Since Jetstream, Palit really invested in cooling r&d. They became a very trusted brand in this field.

3 slots though!! But at least it has DVI

Happy to see they're not cutting corners on cooling as some brands, i'd definitely go with palit/gainward this time, if i were to buy a new GPU. Will be interesting to see if this design sticks to Volta as well.

Need to see the actual benches first, they all say how their **** is groundbreaking and revolutionary.

Yo dawg.

Can anyone team up with Accelero, put their xtreme cooler with a face lift (that thing is ugly) and sell it for whatever price they want, please?

It's a beast though. I use the Accelero Xtreme 4 on my 1070 and it never goes above 60C with the Fans at 35%.

Inno3D uses Accelero cooler, though not Xtreme.

What's the pricing on these? Seen one UK dealer selling the Premium for £739, so is that the real shop price?

Hmm with the 4 fan design makes me wonder how well the VRMs are going to be cooled with a 2nd set of fans.

Are the fans on the opposite side to each other, or as the picture shows? Because from the picture they look layered on top of each other, but spinning the opposite way. Wouldn't they just cancel each other out, or am I being dumb? Probably the latter... :stewpid:

Gamerock AKA Guitar Hero

I don't understand how stacking the fans like that helps at all...

Are we finally getting aviation propeller tech onto our graphic cards? :eyes: In all honesty, I am not sure how this will turn out in terms of noise and cooling, coaxial contra rotating blades aren't known to be quiet, but they do pull in much more air due to it's low rotational airflow(blades cancelling each other). An extra tidbit, the Tupolev Tu-95 is known as one of the world's noisiest aircraft :heh:

This is the first time I've seen people claiming that two fans rotating in different directions actually improves air flow 😕 This has to have massive air turbulances, spreading fine dust everywhere in that cooler... only a long term test (something that doesn't exist) could show if this makes sense, is a marketing gimmick, or simply rubbish.

so the old 3 slot is the new 5 slot. lol. but seriously, this should work. turbines use partially/fully opposing blades (mainly jet engines iirc), so i doubt this is just marketing. @BahamutxD you mean this is ugly? https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/accelero-xtreme-iv.html made in germany/swiss/austria: form follows function .. 😉 @LIGuitar77 around 4 is common now, newer games start to use around 6-8 depending on res can be more/less.

Ah you're right, I forgot about jet engines. My bad :eyes:

Actually it's quite the opposite What's left is that it needs to be tested 🤓

Yeah I just wondered and was wrong on this one (see above).
