And actually I think it's more than just trolling, I've seen this phenomenon happen before. Whenever either AMD is having trouble or nvidia made a mistake, such user accounts show up like mushrooms to either tone down the pressure on AMD or hype up flaws from nvidia. I'm starting to think this is a coordinated PR strategy by AMD, because as said, I've seen it before.

It's annoying because
A. It's wrong, there are a number of hardware changes to Pascal.
B. There is nothing to indicate that Polaris is any more or less different from previous GCN implementations then Pascal is to Maxwell.
C. I hate posts that insinuate crap without having any detail to back it up. It's flamebaiting and it's spreading misinformation.

Not much of a PR strategy if it is one. I'd guess that anyone with low post count making weird posts is just some random user or spambot.
I'm just sick of the back and forth. Both sides of the fence need to cool their jets for a while and not repeat the same stuff for probably the hundredth time.

It's always like that, it is human nature to build up bias and to defend those bias, it's no better when it comes to consoles or even anything with a following. When you understand that such strong arrogant defense really comes from a weak and frail part of that persons depth, you'll tend to pity these people rather than hate them.
anyhow... I find that this palit 1080 is kind of ugly personally, but i'm glad so many people like it. Thanks for the review Hilbert!

The trollish aspect of his post was no explanation whatsoever. Its like saying nvidia sucks or AMD sucks, nothing more. That coupled with a very recent join date automatically puts anyone in troll territory.

that's why its best to ignore such posts. there is no way to respond to a toxic poster that will result in a positively toned next reply from said toxic poster.

I perfectly described the circumstance of such posters. Recent join date, just click on post history and you will find that every single post is pro AMD or anti nvidia, and the account was made SPECIFICALLY for this purpose.
I would never make such account, just for ****ting on AMD or any other company or whatever... unless I would get paid. And here I go again that this is very likely a coordinated PR move by AMD. Politicians do it, other companies do it, it's the 21st century after all.
And sure, nvidia likely does it as well...

Overclockers.co.uk has the Premium Edition at a pre-order price of £620, same card as in HH's review but does not have the stupid G-Panel gimmick!

What is this, just a reason to charge more money? I suppose it could be useful and fun but, the card is already beyond expensive, adding this in just makes it more so.

From what I've seen in the PC Games Hardware video both this and the Gainward have exactly the same cooler & PCB, with the Gainward having a different color scheme. Probably because Palit is the parent company of Gainward.
Given that both are 3slot designs, these would be great for single GPU systems.
