I gotta say, as someone who's been in since Standard Beta, this trailer is very odd.. it really doesn't seem like it speaks to the way the game actually is at all..

Elite is not about stuff in this trailer. I've played Elite on c64 for hundreds of hours, that one is Elite. I hope they can at least match Oolite in complexity. But in the end I am waiting for "No Man's Sky" to get my Space fix. (hope they will make it right and fun)

That trailer is so fake, it's not even funny. They're trying to sell this thing as a fast-paced flick shooter in space? Well, "trying to sell" doesn't really apply anyway. That thing will not be on Steam. Or anywhere else... (GOG, Origin, whatever.) Yeah. Good luck with that. You'll need it. (See: "Not on Steam? Not buying.")

It's one of the rare space sims, besides it's modern and huge in scale, it WILL sell, just look at Star Citizen and the crapton of money they've squeezed out of crowdfunders. It might not outsell AAA titles, but it already has it's public.
