thanks Hilbert:), nice follow up, this card can truly overclock , an extra 10 to 20 frames, the 3dmark increase benching 2000 points in fire strike, over 1100 in time spy, a reminder how fun it is to tweak hardware 🤓

Glad to see the big gun joining the "Pascal golden standard" of ~2-2.1GHz as well. And that on stock cooler too. Sure you'll likely squeeze a bit more with water, but the limitation is still there more or less.

I guess Nvidia might be a bit sparse on sending out samples of this particular GPU but that said it would be fun to see a SLI test just for the hell of it. 😀 (Or go all out and do a SLI OC test. :P )

Love to see a hybrid project of this card. I would love to see the ti version/lesser variant of this card, hopefully in the near future. 1200 usd? Well each of my 980ti hybrid when I got them new on amazon was over 600 u.s.d, so once this titan x pascal is overclocked @ high rate, price to performance compared to my 980ti twins oc'ed, basically give or take roughly the same performance, so price ain't all that bad I think. One hell of a card, thanks for the review.

That's what I did - sold the two Ti's - you'll get more than 600 USD for them I think? (620 GBP for mine)

videocard detects benchmarks and downclocks ? and people are surprised of the pseudo VW scandal..teh lol euro ncap and many other "benchmarks" are also seriously flawed, for example one of the security feature (pre-tensioning belt) was enhancing the crash safety at 55kph but at 80kp it would actually crush your internal organs and probably kill you from internal hemorragia 5/5 stars yay ! ncie article thanks Hilbert, everytime they change overclocking I'm completely lost

LOL, another thing I love about theses hybrid's is that it stays under 50 celsius under load on both gpu's. Pascal titan X is a beast of a card but deserves to be liquid cooled to bring those temps down a bit, 90 celsius is extremely hot, no doubt about it. Only downfall of theses Titan X's, is that its only being sold as of now through nvidia, not through third party companies, hopefully and maybe in the future but there are some doubts we will never see it happen until maybe the ti version comes out, that's the one to look for, yum yum. UPDATE: If change to thermal grizzly paste, probably will drop like 8-10+ Celsius, I know it did for my gtx 690 with prettie good broken in/curing time of AS5 and those temps were like slightly above 90c, after the paste was applied, mid to upper 70 C, BIG Difference, even then, still kinda hot, lol. That was with a very heavy overclocked gtx 690 with voltage bios mod, etc. Big difference afterwards, man your not kiddin'.

Most important line, this beast needs proper cooling, 80+ temp is NOT acceptable. Sure Nvidia develop that beast and knows that many good brands will hit the stores with their solutions. And about price..yes it's expensive but if "expensive" means purely a product that I won't pay because it's perf/price ratio is bad then why do you ever read about it? Then again if you are a PC fan and like to read about evolution of such stuff then enjoy/dream but don't judge others' happiness about it..

same with ppl who put turbos on 550hp lambos :P but u know what they say:)
lambos need turbo to gain in strait line what they lost in curves... but well if you have bought a lambo you can even make the seat in zebra...
$1200 dont care how good the card is its way to expensive.
not so... i just had the green light to buy the Quadro (few more stuff, lower clock and still GDDR5X) and it's way more expensive (ok despite the 24 gig of vram)... NVidia seem to like to have a GPU with the butt on 2 sit: fortunate gaming / entry level WS if they sell them they should do business with it 🙂 ?

Great article Hilbert. The new Titan is an absolute beast. I just can't get over how much of a beast it is. Would love to have one of these in my PC. I hear EVGA is making an AIB version. Should be interesting to see how it performs.

Cool stuff, not sure why would u wanna oc this beast tho 😏120 or 126 fps !!!!.............same with ppl who put turbos on 550hp lambos :P but u know what they say:)
Ya maybe 126fps in 1440P but in 4K the overclock can be the factor that allows a locked 60fps. Everygame so far that I play (and I play everything...) can pretty much lock to 60fps in 4K with an OC (I can't wait for the voltage unlock though!!! more performance !!!) But some titles like Assassins Creed Unity need maybe one or two settings turned down from Very High to High to maintain 60fps at all times (again in 4K). I doubt anyone that isn't gaming in at least 4K would even bother buying a Titan XP anyway, and they will all appreciate how well this beast over clocks! Ans on a side note... My Titan XP memory over clock like crazy! I can almost hit 12000MHz!!! The slider on Afterburner only goes to +1000 and I am almost there!!! That's 576GB/s of memory bandwidth baby (I actually get around 571.2GB/s)! Not as fast as HBM2 but it is still blazing!!! Faster then HMB1 though!

Whooaa What a Monster :massacre:

Every game at 4K 60 FPS! Seriously a monster! Let AMD bring out the Demon next! 😀

not all time i game @ 4k some games u get 60fps but not all .. ^^^

Yep and bloody well hurry up about it. The silence is deafening from AMD.

Love to see a hybrid project of this card.
I mounted my EVGA Hybrid Coooler on my Titan X (Pascal) the other day. Temperatures now stay below 50°C under load (it reached around 72°C under load with the stock air cooler with an aggressive fan curve in Afterburner), but my maximum stable GPU overclock hasn't changed at all, it's still at +210 which between 2050 and 2114 for me (I can push it a bit higher and reach 2126-2190ish, but it isn't stable in games and will crash taxing games like GTA5 and Doom with maxed out details at 3840x2160 after a while, sometimes minutes, sometimes hours). The big advantage here is that the GPU remains cooler and thus the card keeps boost clocks stable without lowering clocks much and they remain pretty stable. Also, the case and room doesn't heat up as much as with the stock cooler either. I'm happy with the performance of the card. Right now I think a higher overclock would only be possible with a modified BIOS that increases and the Power limit considerably, opens up higher voltages/keeps them stable, but that doesn't appear to be on the horizon yet.

Yeah you are maxed out as the GP102 simply will need more voltage, it runs out of air at such frequencies. The positive side effect if the 50°C under load is that you will have a much more stable boost frequency that doesn't throttle as much. That in the end will help out in your overall perf. But the big question from me and everybody .. where are the photos ? 🙂

Indeed. It'd pretty good as it is anyhow, but I'm sure we'll be able to get some more performance out of it once BIOS editing for Pascal becomes a thing.

Maybe everyone is too busy playing with their shiny new Titan X? 😉 I don't usually do or post photos especially since my rig isn't exactly made to be looked at anymore, but since you asked so nicely, here we go:
http://i66.tinypic.com/nxvubo.png
Sorry about the bad quality, they were taken by some old camera that I have here. And yes, I really do need to dust the thing out properly some time, haha. 🙂

You .. do .. need .. too .. dust :--) Looking good man, enjoy as that is a lovely setup right there.
