Limited bus width on the 1050 with 3gb though. Closer it gets to that 3gb of usage, the more the FPS will tank unless Nvidia is using a different memory configuration.

"fake news". Nvidia is absolutely not releasing that as a Pascal replacement. they are going to be stripping off all non game related technology to force Deep Learning, A.I., and Big Data to buy Quadro's. Period. they have been "giving away" hundreds of millions of dollars by not doing this in the past, and now these industries are maturing.

Nvidia is using APPLES CRUMBS 101 play book tactic. Give them a little bit but not too much where they will need a newer product soon again. I can't stand Nvidia's weird memory configurations on some of their cards. Playing games will soon need at least 4GB while this card will slow down during that memory limit. This is like them making a car engine and the last fuel injector shoots is rated at 27lbs while the other 7 injectors are rated 28lbs.

It's not really sweet after Maxwell and Pascal. 1180 seems to be around 1080Ti. In the former 2 generations, the x70 beat the earlier x80Ti Who needs a 1050 with 3GB? :O

I meant sweet as in new gpu's... 😛 And I don't think the x70 could beat my previous 1550MHz GB 980Ti Xtreme Gaming.. 😀 At least back then, it wouldn't...

though stronger I played around with a 1050ti the other day "I was left very impressed" ...it did have a 6pin connector I remember.... 1060/6Gb is a very strong card for 1080p.

I just hope the 1180ti can play games at 4k with ease at 60fps ultra settings. I miss the feeling of buying a beast card and having it just crush every game without breaking a sweat. That's what my 1070 did at 1080p. After getting a 4k screen and a 1080ti, my 1080ti feels like a really expensive mid range card. Requiring settings to be knocked down and custom resolutions just to maintain 60fps. I do realize that 4k is super demanding but I still feel it's not out of our reach and if Nvidia actually had some competition, we'd already have cards that could easily handle 4k.

whatever it is that will end up getting released at the top end will absolutely need to play games at ultra, 4k 60fps...at a minimum. in reality the "2070" should be that card and the "1180" should do over 100fps at 4k. if that doesn't happen the gamer market will revolt due to unrealized expectations. and AMD will get default sales.
