I would probably buy a 2080ti if it came with 20 new games tbh. OK, 15 even, just to not be NGreedy

ja ja they do not know how to sell them, low down prizes!

Nvidia still don't get it. I don't want free games! Lower the prices of the RTX, then we have a deal.

If they made it the Steam copy of the game this deal might be interesting.

Though times ahead indeed.

So they're having a sit in with Epic? Good for them. Even if I got it for free, I wouldn't play the game via epic store.

I remember days when people made jokes of Steam and wish they could play HL2 without it. Many called it a failure. Look at us now, throwing bodies and moneys, furiously defending it from competition. Hard to think straight with hundreds of dollars being invested into it. GabenClap.

Just not interested in these cards ATM ... My GTX 1070 is still smashing anything i throw at it at 1080p 144Hz.

The $250 RX590 gets 3 games with the same value (and I can even say they are better games, except for Metro). With NV, you get it with $700+ GPU.

Most of the world wasn't ready for Steam at that time. I remember trying to install it on my computer about a year after it came out. The download would have taken over a week and would have probably come out corrupted because of my crap internet. Didn't actually play the game for another couple of years.

I find hard to understand the "no Steam, no buy" mentality. I understand that people like Steam but to the point of skipping a great game just because the game is not on Steam is strange to say the least... As for the RTX cards, i agree with Great White Shark, they should lower their prices instead of offering a game.

Missed out on that, only got 2. I'll tell you what would be a good deal... let buyer choose any 3 games that he wants. Yeah, not going to happen, but sure as hell would be a deal sweetener. And would certainly generate more GPU sales.

Haha like back in the day when dvd installation was faster than downloading gigs of data. Now boxed copies have a link to steam. 😱

BlackZero:

It was always on the game disk at the time, IIRC.
The CD I got was literally just a steam installer with the game key tucked into the box. I was livid.

I remember when i bought Football Manager years ago and the game required Steam to work. When i realized the disc was useless and that i only needed the code inside the box because the games was entirely download trough Steam i felt really stupid and mad... Now the same applies to every game so i started to care less and less about buying physical copies of games. I still buy games in physical shape from time to time like Sekiro i just pre-ordered but they are the exception nowadays.
