Nice idea if you can get it to work. sadly though this is far from perfect. But keep trying your budget is huge. im sure in time you will crack it. https://streamable.com/dit4h

This is legitimately really cool. I'm curious to see what some of the failed attempts look like (not to ridicule, but just because I have a fascination with how AI interprets things). This is the kind of technology I want Nvidia to invest in, not proprietary gaming technology that screws over consumers.

Image quality suffers a bit, and artefacts are visible. But, looks better to me over the price of a phantom camera! Oh wait, it's Ngreedia we're talking about, it probably only runs on Titan V.

That awkward realization that running on a Titan V would be the cheap option. The article says it actually runs on the V100. To my knowledge, those are $10k a piece.

It's not perfect by any means but it is pretty cool how AI extrapolates information.

Why are all your posts pure negativity? Why don't you just stay out of Intel and nvidia; that's all your posts are, negative and add nothing constructive. Title says AI. AI requires tensor cores. General GPUs do not have compute performance for those simulations.

Is this much better than what VLC player already have been doing for many years?

6 years? They innovate much more than AMD does with their GPUs, that's with no doubt. Also what is it? A fake account to post bs on the forum?

That looks pretty cool.

I really like it. In a few years this technology could be used for adult sites to take the low frame-rate "action" and re-render at 144hz+, for some super smooth and fluid "entertainment". Ahem.

Meh..Release the new GTX cards already..

Haha, well I’ll keep on using Vapoursynth + MVTools then! The artifacts may be more visible at times, but it’s pretty awesome already. And free.

Back to good old Nvidia vs AMD fangays fest. oh, btw Nvidia sucks. haha. Oh wait, I have Nvidia in my PC.... Ahem, AMD sucks!

Ah, nV discovered motion vectors and someone remembered that when vectors are cut in half, you have practically double fps. Then they came with brilliant idea to cut them again... They did what millions thought before and thousands implemented. If they improved on something, then it is Artifacts Cleanup.

Thing is, this interpolates from the source. If you have something that happens between those two frames, it won't be in the AI slow mo as the AI won't know it's there.

Still looks good, even if it's not perfect. It doesn't have to be perfect to be useful.
