What does knowing more than me got to do with ANYTHING. My point is that you could do something on the internet that you didn't even know was illegal but they will use it against you. Ignorance of the law is not a defence as they say. Not only that but ignore the internet, more and more statutes are being used every day against you to strip you of you freedom. Eventually the only thing that will be legal is going to work, paying taxes and spending money. Just like a good little slave.

well for a start you try and insult me by posting a sheep, not the best start i would say, then you start going on about human rights, which i agree with you but this is about NSA spying on internet use, which i stated these are just my feelings about the subject, the NSA and internet.

i does not bother me i have fook all of interest to see, this whole spy stuff does not bother me in the least i have fook all to hide so why should i even be worried? it always makes me wonder if those who are worried about it, are only worried because they up to no good? way i see it (and its only how i look at it) if your not up to anything bad not an issue if you are using your PC for bad things then worry

How would you like your employer monitoring your PC? Why shouldn't Facebook and Twitter have direct access to your PC for research purposes, you have nothing to hide after all. For him it is okay. He's not speaking for anyone else but himself. Nothing wrong with that either, if he's okay with it then he's okay with it and he's stated his reasons. Idk, people said similar things with all technology. EZPass here in the states was a big one -- people said that it would allow the government to track where you were and at when time when traveling on highways. Bunch of people came out and said "no way, they have better things to do, etc" Now courts can subpoena for EZPass records in order to get specific data on where you were on the highway and when. There is even talk about them implementing a timing system to give out speeding tickets based on the fastest possible route between toll booths. Most cars now in days have event data recorders, I think the US requires them in all cars by 2016. Insurance companies are already starting to talk about collecting that data to effect insurance rates. Police can easily use them to give automated tickets as they record your speed as well. I mean really, how long before the MPAA/RIAA team up with HD manufacturers? The MPAA figures piracy costs them $20 Billion a year in lost revenue in the US alone. Whether that number is accurate or not is irrelevant. They will use it as a selling point to governments and courts that they need access to user data. Hell they've already shown that they can raid a non-US citizen's private residence (Kim Dotcom) and attempt to extradite him back to the states.

You think a virus can't completely cover it's tracks so it is undetectable? HAHAHAHA. 1. infect computer 2. download kiddie porn 3. delete itself, clear logs and temp files, and wipe free space on drive. All that is left is the router logs on your end... and most likely they have a very short time of being there before they are wiped because of very limited temp storage space on the router. An even quicker way to get rid of the logs is to simply issue a reboot command to the router. Then all they have to do is say that somebody gave them an anonymous tip and they can raid your house. All they will find is what looks like you being a pedo and trying to cover your tracks.

Uh, they installed a back door in a hard drives firmware. You don't think other hackers are going to utilize that to their advantage. Plus judge's have subpoena'd for NSA data before for non-criminal cases.

The main concern isn't just that NSA has access, the issue is that hackers can exploit and use the backdoors that NSA implemented. It is also a concern that NSA might have un-honest employees that steal business secrets and sell them to competitors. And worst case scenario would be that the USA gets a real bad government, guess what they can do via NSA. Data manipulation is easy with the right tools, it gives you access to frame anyone for anything you want to frame a person or group for.
