It is very big terraria. At 1st you'll not meet any people, only friendly/foe A.I. But as you start to see more and more people going to centre of galaxy, it will start to be fun. If you could make fully custom ship from your parts, it would be awesome. I may get this anyway for VR, I think it would be one of must have games. have not played great open space simulator for very long time. Maybe I should jump back to STO for a while. I miss narrations from Leonard Nimoy :/

Amazing concept, but could get a bit tedious after a few thousand worlds or so.
It most certainly will, but exploring that much till it becomes boring will take a lot more spent hours than it would take to end most single player games. It will probably keep me busy for a long time, long have i waited for a game that transitions like that from space to atmosphere and with so much open world to explore and randomness. Always enjoyed randomness in games.

I agree with the graphics bit, don't really like it. Makes it very cartoonish like... if you go into space, if anything, you'd want it to look realistic..

Imagine S.T.A.L.K.E.R, or Oblivion with this engine.

Does look kind of amazing, although what do you do other than just look around? Can't really rate graphics as I havn't seen it in true 1080, 1440 or 4k yet. I agree tho it does look a touch on the cartoony side, not really my preference for a sci-fi game. Would be interesting to find out more about it though!

The graphics are very interesting. As for the game, I think it's going to be like Minecraft in that I respect it, but needs goals to enjoy it.

This engine looks dull and cartoonish. STALKER would work better with Cryengine.

Looks promising. Only there's a problem. Had to re-calibrate my monitor after watching that trailer. Can't see myself playing this for more than 20 minutes without throwing up all over my keyboard ๐Ÿ™

Elite: Dangerous will satiate me for now, but this does look interesting if not "easier". Will probably try it out I'm just not sure about the whole ages 6+ feel.

It's quite reminiscent of early sci-fi artwork, a lรก Chris Foss, and tonnes of artwork I've seen on novels. It also has that 1960's Star Trek Matte Backdrop paintings they used to use. Planets should be colorful, and the push towards realism will always fail - but color will always be colorful. Zelda Windwaker still looks artistic and modern, versus N64 Zelda which looks like a joke.

I really dig the cross between muted and vivid pastel colours, creates a nice contrast to my eyes.

I like the graphics too, if i want dull ultrarealism, i go outside.

Yeah, exploring a barren frozen rock sounds like a barrel of fun. Give me orange space stegosauruses and luminescent fish any day.
