Interesting, a year or so ago I said people would get sick of scripted games and then devs would trying make everything open world whether it fitted or not. Will need to see/read more before deciding if I like this route, multiple ways of doing things to give gamers the illusion of freedom sounds better to me as it's much harder to get open world games right.

Never played the first one, just didn't appeal enough - but I really dig the graphical style a tonne. It's such a cool retraction from the normal way the future is perceived with everyone going for the "a la Blade Runner" look complete with grime and steel; or the steam punk look.

To each their own. Mirror's Edge is my 2nd favorite game of all time, after the Mass Effect series. 🙂 Was a no-brainer it would go open-world, as that seems the trend these days. Which ought to make this game extremely interesting! :infinity:

EA is gathering some (hopefully top-notch) people and calling them DICE LA. But the real DICE is a Battlefield factory these days, and sadly won't have anything to do with Mirrors Edge 2. Coming when it's ready sounds great, but featuring guns in the trailer suggests they are almost clueless about fans biggest gripe with original.
