These days you turn on your TV to watch your paid channels and first of all it has too many commercials, no thanks, I'm already paying to watch this. Then you scroll through all your 100s of channels and there NOTHING interesting, I don't want to watch some pawn shop show on the >history< channel, then when you find something interesting coming up you have to wait for Bridget Jones' diary that airs thirty times a week to watch it. They tied their own noose by not renewing themselves and of course, the incessant greed. 🙂

I cut my cable in 2006. It was kind of rough until Netflix came around, having to download everything.

I haven't used cable TV since 2010, when i had a hard time trying to aquire Internet service only since the operator was hellbent into forcing cable TV service on me alongside Internet service. Very frustrating experience wich led me to insult a few operators

That's interesting, considering how many people get TV combos with their internet. If you exclude the people who never use their TV, I'm sure Netflix would be in the lead. What's also interesting to consider is Netflix isn't tethered to a household. Since it allows multiple simultaneous users in different locations, that also would technically give it more viewers than TV.

Exactly. I have 4 leeches on my account. But its like $12 so IDC. We dont have TV at our house. No need when we have no data cap and 1GB fiber, netflix, hulu, and youtube, and streaming sites for sports. Almost never see any more commercials. The amount of commercials on US tv is just out of hand. 10 mins of a movie or show, then commercial. US football is almost as bad but streaming the game from the UK to the states, no commercials usually.

In my country they have the nerve to stop me watching commercials all day long with a stupid movie!
