What about third world countries where the internet sucks or we can't afford to be online all the time? What happened to the good 'ol days where we just bought a game and played it,went online for multiplayer and that was it...

Q) Will there be manual transmission / split screen / wheel support? A) There are many features that people are asking for, these are among many things that we are investigating.
That sounds like they haven't bothered testing the game with a wheel. Which reminds me NFS Hot Pursuit - the original was great to play with a wheel, and the remake was unplayable. I'm not kidding - it was better to play it with a keyboard than with a wheel. And suggestions like that it's an arcade game, so no wheel support is needed are worthless. Just check out the original Most Wanted with something that has quality force feedback and you'll be amazed how good this game is.

Agreed. What's sad is that to get that kind of experience, one often has to use a hacked version of some game files. If the game got hacked, what is the point of all the draconian DRM measures that only affect paying customers? It's especially great when the game gets older and they don't bother to patch out the DRM. It renders the game completely useless. Having to go online to play single player games is just lunacy.

I completely agree. I live where there is killer internet but ruined with data caps. I legally buy my games, backup them up on my external drive in original form. But I will use a crack if needed. EA games have a 5 install limit that was never removed from the Crysis games, NFS Shift series, and a bunch more on origin. I got tired of contacting EA to get my game installed. So I just used a crack on them. Its a real pisser to be a honest customer sometimes.

Indeed. What's also ironic is that by including DRM, they are actually driving people towards cracks, which indirectly funds crackers and motivates them to crack software. If there was no DRM, crackers would be out of work. Plus, those anarchists that only get cracked games that are only available with DRM because they don't want to support DRM might even buy those games instead. So yeah, DRM is just stupid and counterproductive.
