"8+6+6 PCI PEG power headers" OMG I hope it's not another so called "gamer" card that no gamer can actually afford... At least as is. Anyway, wait & see ^^

A lot of engineering samples have stuff like that. It means nothing.

It could be the GTX 880 test pcb. The actual card should release with 8GB. It might also feature some new cooling solution either hybrid or air.

16gb of vram? lol. Surely that's for Quadro or something. Can't see why they would ever think that 16gb would be needed for gaming, 8 maybe but 16gb?

the power connector is not a problem... on test sample some have even power line outside PCB (mean by cable) it's a "work in progress"... also they sometime have power con for GPU and another one for mem etc etc... doesn't mean crazy power watt like on release product.

Seems legit.

It could be a 880 based off of a Titan PCB considering this PCB has 16GB of ram. But Who knows at this point.

Uh Uh Uh! that looks like... Pretty standard to be honest, but new stuff is always good, if not for every one, at least for them.

16 gigas of memory? Got to be a new quadro...

8+6+6 PCI PEG ... it must be Maxwell @ 28nm 😀
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/90/90667.jpg
probably just a test or super rare extreme edition 😀, 750 are the most power effeicient cards and give the best performance for 60W, Maxwell was always meant to put Kepler to shame in all aspects, but power is the main.

I think its for ES purposes to see how much can it actually use..

ive always wondered why manufaturers chose to use 2x6 pin connectors i would think 1x8 would be cheaper and simpler to manufacture plus u would need a million cables running everywhere when u use sli

Yea this is probably a test card, they are probably testing how much power it draws and at what clocks speeds so they can adjust things accordingly. Having 8+8+6 pin means they have MASSIVE headroom to work with. If this is Maxwell GTX880 then be sure that it will not launch with anything more than 8+8pin but more than likely 8+6pin like normal. As Maxwell is targeting very lower power consumption. Unless that extra 6pin connector if for something entirely different and not directly for the GPU core it self? Maybe a second dedicated PhysX or CUDA core????? Hmmmm.... speculation is always a good thing 😉
