By the looks of it in order to have a q-led code thingy u need to pay an extra 250$ again. Damn those things cost as much as a monitor. They should at least put an oled there that plays videos for that price.

I clearly dislike the word “Refreshed.” It has a ring of an easy and last minute OEM cash grab with relatively meager and meaningful values. I would think that thus the new MSI refresh DIYers are getting their pockets double-dipped. Does it really make sense in buying a newly refreshed MSI Z790 MB now when none of these are compatible with the looming 15th generation CPUs only 8-10 months away and sporting a new LGA 1851 socket? The 15th gen CPU mandating buying a new MB and forcing DDR5 memory will however not be cheap! Possibly in 2024 a new premium MB, CPU and a DDR5 combo may easily be costing $1,500. Then likely the new much larger 15th gen processors may be requiring additional pressure from the coolers for optimal functionality? Thus will I need a new cooler as well after having invested already over $1,500, or should I just ‘jerry-rig’ my new socket with a AIO refresh profferd with a cheap adaptor-kit? With our inflation and economy still running amok, I wonder what the tech consumer market will bring us in 2024. Surely to be prepared to pay up to 15%-25% more for almost any new tech-products? In turn my company a few days ago announced more layoffs, started to reduce more office space, cafeterias and froze year-end raises for all full time employees!

They should have refreshed the UNIFY. Asus APEX and Gigabyte Tachyon superb boards, but Unify was right up there and cheaper, sad that MSI didn't refresh their best offering. For me the Godlike and ACE are just money hogs that don't bring anything meaningful to the table, while the Unify does at least for what its worth, the board was a superb offering by MSI. Since moving to DDR5 i dont see a point of having more than 2 slots, hope motherboard manufacturers start figuring out how to make it work like DDR4/DDR3.
