See, this is what I was waiting for--the successor to the 750Ti.
To me, it was nonsensical when nVidia initially released the 950, since it really didn't bring anything to the table relative to it's price bracket--spend a bit more money, and get a fairly capable 960, or save a few bucks and get the convenience of a 750Ti.
And despite being a gimped version 950, the performance difference at this level should be negligible, since most of these are going to be used in HTPC's or casual/streaming gaming rigs.

Do any of the manufacturers ever read the forums? if they do, i think users should create a thread and express cocern over the lack of choice.
I mean i have seen entry lever garbage with dual slot coolers.
Sigh...

Are there ever going to be SFF graphics cards again?

I own 2 systems built using SFF chassis.... Would be rather nice if a manufacturer would make a new card to fit them.

As much as there's a niche market for it, a single-slot graphics card simply isn't viable.
First off, they would probably need a custom PCB, on top of any other cards they may already produce custom PCB's for, and then they would need some sort of breakthrough in cooling technology because invariable whatever cooler they may put on it is going to overheat and have a shrill fan.
Generally speaking, at that point, if you truly need a single-slot graphics card, you might as well look towards on-board offerings, because whatever truly single slot offering you may find is going to be underpowered or gimped to hell and back.
