The main point is this card has very few people in strict need of it other than the usual people upgrading. It's not going to pull any Nvidia buyers with brains. Why would you sack your OC 970 for this? Witcher 3 runs about the same or worse when 970 has big OC. And you miss Gameworks additions which are pretty huge in Witcher 3 IMO. People are selling perfectly great 970s for 160-220 dollars atm. And then the cooling. And the heat. There is literally no reason to go here. Might be really cool in a PS4 Neo though. Also, this is not performing like high-end GPUs IMO. When I think high-end I think 980ti. Period. This isn't even close. It's worse in many ways than a fully OC'd 970. A nice card for those AMD fans that have not upgraded for a while, but very hard to recommend for hardcore gamers because of all the stuff you miss with going AMD.

No 480 is high-end, 490 = enthusiast class.

And yeah you need to test in Vulkan without AA or TSSAA 8x for Async Compute.Or you can do without AA in every DX 12 games,for testing purpose only.

Mr. Hagedoorn I don't know why you are using the wrong AA in Doom Vulkan benchmarks, but its been tested by AdoredTV that using SMAA 1TX is about 20 FPS slower than TSSAA, which Doom developer recommended for use with AMD cards. You keep writting that Doom Vulkan is a beta API, which is clearly not true. Newly installed game come with Vulkan selected and not OpenGL. And Doom was not intended to be an OpenGL game and its clearly not anymore. You are deceiving people with benchmarks like that. Either this is to not show the correct benchmarks, which would be dishonest, or just not knowing (which is not likely). Also you have used old 16.7.2 AMD drivers, which are known to increase performance in RoTR by around 10***8453;. You have been testing RoTR with HBAO+ which is Nvidia technology. And Nvidia tech is known to be tailor made to make their cards work better. Using AMDs MLAA on Warhammer is also kinda unfair to Nvidia. Please reconsider these opinions and respond.

It was meant to be an upgrade from gtx6xx and 7xx users as well as older hd 7000 series from AMD. No one should replace 970 with 480 or 1060.

AMD was the one marketing it as high end card, therefore people compared it to other high end cards. Just like they said bulldozer would destroy intel.

No AMD fans were saying that until RX480 actually released. I recall clearly some were saying it was aiming for those GTX970 users...yep. Over-hyped by AMD users is accurate.

Anyone remembers that loonie guy in AMD subforum... the guy who has a brother who's developer 🙂 He was saying that his brother told him... lololol wait, wait... his bro told him that 480 should not even be considered a mere GPU. According to his bro 480 would be a product that would brake all charts, and it would be so good that it will be impossible to compare it with any other GPU He promised to come back with more good news, but he's nowhere to be found now LOL
