It could be beneficial if you have the extra eye-candy turned on if you are running a 8gb card as seen in the 2nd graph. However how would the 2nd graph look with 2 4gb cards?

You would still be bottlenecked by the lack of VRAM in Crossfire. 2*290x 4GB in Crossfire is still 4GB in total and in SLI for Nvidia cards.

yes, but the thing is you would not run 4k with 8xAA, seriously, nobody does that. I'd go 4k with 2xAA max, stick 2x 4gb gpu in there and you're laughing.

sounds like a troll comment aftermarket 290s dont run much hotter than gtx titans and 780 ti msi gaming 290 is bit hotter but its also very quiet i have 290 crossfire on air in crossfire the top card is where high temps can occur but i have the powecolour pcs as top card its the coolest 290 on the market but also louder than msi gaming 290s

that benchmark basically is worthless. pretty much every recent game needs 4GB vram or more, and they benchmark these 1-2 year old games. i don't know if they chose to be completely ignorant of recent high vram requiring games on purpose or not but it's bad article nonetheless.
i want to see how 8GB cards perform in recent high vram demanding games such as the evil within, cod:aw, ryse, shadow of mordor and others. this is what i think is relevant to many people who are considering 8GB cards.

8 Gb cards are laughable. You can't even use it. If they announced the 390x and it was quite a bit faster,maybe. What is ridiculous is,most guys whining about the Vram on a card,will just buy the next card anyhow. There are no stock games that use 4 gb of ram and if they do or even use more than 2,its a ****ty port,period!
