YESSSSS YESSSSSS YESSSSSSS This is what I asked for. Hello upgrade for my living room PC.

Ah I thought LowProfile also means single slot, would be great if it had 1 slot too. 🤓

Very good to see this, however why duel slot? still good to see how much performance you can cramp into you living room HTPC.

Would be a great card for my low profile HTPC that is also capable of 4K.

Yep, low profile, single slot GPUs are so rare...and OLD. 🙁 The brand new AMD Radeon Pro WX series could be interesting for HPTC users, specially those using ITX (or min-ITX) cases. WX 4100 is a low profile GPU AND single slot: http://www.amd.com/PublishingImages/photography/product/360px/10329-Radeon-Pro-WX-4100-angled-360x346.png http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/workstation/firepro-3d/wx4100 http://www.anandtech.com/show/10521/amd-announces-radeon-pro-wx-series-wx-4100-wx-5100-wx-7100-bring-polaris-to-pros This GPU is obviously not for gamers (2.4 TFLOPS) but it has 4GB VRAM, it's low power usage and the Polaris 11 specs are interesting: http://laptopmedia.com/highlights/the-new-super-efficient-amd-radeon-pro-wx-7100-wx-5100-wx-4100-gpus-all-you-need-to-know/ It's avalaible right now for 400 US$/Euros.

From the look of this, if you were super desperate you could just cut it off, just a ribbon cable.

There isnt a ribbon cable on this one. If it had no DVI, this would be single slot. Crappy design IMHO.

Underneath the metal triangle shroud looks mightily like a ribbon cable to me.

I would so butcher this baby up into a single slot card, or even less than that with a metal grinder. Just to cram it up into the smallest space possible 🙂

The only thing I'm suspicious about are those two small fans: if they are crappy sleave bearing type exect them to start rattling after a year or so, maybe even earlier due to high rpm. But if they are ball bearing ones (highly doubt that) they coud run for years in silence.

Yes its hard to find, well I was thinking about this or normal 1050 for physx (killing floor2, etc), single slot would be ideal for extra space between SoudBlaster and this gpu in last 3rd pcie 16x slot. Guess this is my best choice if I can find one and still be somewhat capable, http://geizhals.eu/gainward-geforce-gtx-750-single-slot-3132-a1122408.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=pl&hloc=uk&hloc=eu EDIT: just noticed these NV GTX 1050 are on 14nm:pc1:

Calls it Low Profile... mounts a Dual Slot Cooler... that's a real bad joke right there.

This thread GPU IS low profile. It's not short in length or single slot in width, it's simply low profile in height. A low profile AND single slot GPU is a Rara Avis some HTPC users/geeks would like to see on their tiny (mini) ITX builds i.e. to use the next expansion slot normally "invaded" by the GPU heatskin/fans. I would like to use that slot expansion in my mATX HTPC, a PCI riser is not a solution in my case.

So the reference design of a 1050 (www-dot-nvidia-dot-com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1050/) says its HDMI 2.0b. The MSI site says their card is 2.0 (not a or b). Gigabyte and GALAX both list there 1050 ti low profile as 2.0b. So I contacted MSI support, twice through email and once over the phone. All three times they said their card was HDMI 2.0 only, not a or b. I asked how that's possible if the reference design is 2.0b and they said that's what their card was. So either it really is 2.0 or they are incompetent. I've been wanting to upgrade my HTPC to 4k @ 60 and I have a UHD TV with HDR but it looks like I have to wait for the Gigabyte version to hit the US stores.
