While I still think that 16:9 is the way to go for Gaming, especially if you are planning to play some older titles, 21:9 is perfect for work and general productivity.

Since i upgraded to 21:9 not long ago it changed everything for me. Great gaming experience, enhanced i feel.

21:9 is all I buy anymore for gaming. We've bought 4 of them in the past few years. Using a 16:9 now, (to me) feels like using a 4:3 did back in the day when we first adopted widescreen as a standard. This MSI has a nice stand for a cheapie. I like the curve. I prefer curved now too.

It's nice for modern gaming, however, when it comes to older games and 21:9 support - that becomes a real hassle to make it work properly. I play older games mostly, and I find 16:9 screens just more versatile. Fewer issues with them. However, 21:9 is future proof. No doubt about that.

It makes sense if your playing older games with no ultrawide support but yeah if you do play modern games then its just great. 🙂 https://www.linkpicture.com/q/Untitled_471.png

21:9 is +/- same thing but zoomed in. I had PG348Q some years ago, and had constant issues with various titles when it came to 21:9. I prefer games from back in the day opposite to modern stuff. And even when it comes to modern stuff there was quite a lot of unnecessary hassle related to it. Now running a Gigabyte Aorus FV43U, I've never been happier. Games/movies /work-related stuff, awesome and plenty of space on top of that. +Auto HDR on Windows 11 is actually really nice (when it works). But the underlying point I'm trying to make - to each their own, however, the more common 21:9 will be now and in the near future, the easier it will be for everyone. Still, 16:9 dominates everything. 21:9 on steam is only 1.29% and still has a very long way to go.

I am surprised this is 100Hz and not 144Hz especially as they have released 100Hz Ultrawide screens quite a while back. I have the Mpg341cqr which has been great especially for sim racing games like ACC, Race Room and AMS2 and no turning back for me now...

Just stay with 16:9, well stay 21:9. So many older games work with 21:9 and few that dont are easy fixes. 16:9 just sucks anymore. Currently being black on it makes me wanna puke.

UGH. Not another MSI Ultrawide curved based on VA. No more, never again. I currently own 2 MSI Optix MAG341CQ's and regret the purchase every time I see color gradients on my random windows background.

I've been happy with my 3440x1440. Just wish they made it with more height. I know this makes it wider as well, but it's wall mounted and would just like it larger to remove my old man glasses, like I did with my 27" 4K.

well if they add more height will end up with a ratio from 21:9 ...to 18:9 ? witch at that point ... i mean might as well get a bigger 16:9 except if i am misinterpreting something :P

I am waiting for qd-oled monitors to just flood the market.
