VA panels still slower than TN and IPS in respons times ? have yet to see any VA being better for gaming than TN or IPS in regards of pixel respons time. Maybe the is a new panel ?

Never owned a VA, however to my knowledge they have better color's compared to TN (in specific black).

Thats true, they have better colors and also better viewing angles than TN. But for gaming you want a fast panel to. I havent owned a VA panel my self, but from the reviews at TFTcentral, none of the reviwed VA panels are on par with "gaming" monitors with TN or IPS panels when it comes to overall pixel respons times, in fact its more or less a constant negative in all the propper VA panel reviews i have read.

Having bought a Dell U2711 seven years ago, I didn't realise until very recently what a small % of gamers used 1440 monitors. I think it was 3-5% so that explains why MSI have produced one now (and not before). Asus brought out the ROG 27" up to 165 Hz IPS G-Synch screen two years ago or approx so not sure what the USP of the 1440 MSI monitor is? The Asus screen is £693 at Scan Computers.
