Nvidia should not have released this card. It will only generate bad PR for them. Whoever buys it will surely suffer buyers remorse when the 4080 is released 6 months later which will outperform it More likely whoever buys this will just upgrade to the 600w 4090 when it comes out.

You know a product is REALLY BAD when not even getting a badge here on this website (which usually gives "Recommended" badges to sub-mediocre products)

Can it run in SLI mode? o_O;)
I see some hidden/covered connectors there, but cannot find any comment on it...

It's a pricing test run. Of course, every last one of them already FLEW off the shelves at bot speed and is now in ebay for 3-$5000, just as we all knew would happen and those will sell out too. The 4000 series is going to be a disaster. Nvidia knows they can charge literally any price they want and people will turn their brain off and just buy them by the truck load, all for scalping. People voted with their wallets and now the new flagship price is a minimum of $2000. Nice job. I look forward to RTX 4060 for $800+.

I remember paying $1500 for the EVGA FTW3 3090 ultra and thinking this is a lot of money to play PC games now I just notice the retail price for this video card is $2249.00 and 5 to 9 % gain over my 3090 and there is still a shortage this late in the lifetime of the card all the above will kill PC gaming.

That's a big card!! It includes a crane to mount this on the computer?
Funny part, I was reading the review, as always great work by our lord Hilbert, and the same time I received an email of my electricity supplier announcing energy price increase...

This power usage is just nuts tbh for all ampere cards. Nvidia gonna get slaughtered next gen

What a garbage gpu, more power needed for barely any fps increase in gaming, and then there is the cost lol.
Even if prices do come back to normal this year i personally will wait for the 4070 and see what that one will look like,
cause clearly nvidia are going down the give it more power route, so no longer i will buy the x80 gpu's.

If this power consumption rise is the future of enthusiasts PC's then maybe for me my next buy will be PS6 or Xbox's next offering.
I already thought the 3090 was too much watts but got it anyway but i also don't even use all the 3090's power like Mannerheim with his 1080p 6800XT.
I did have the money to choose whatever monitor i wanted but again i went for a 1440p 240hz when i could of easily got a 4k 120hz panel.
I'm guessing most people here are probably using the "Prefer Maximum Performance" setting in nVidia CP. I just use normal setting which means my 3090 isn't even being used 100%.
The benefit of this is while using about 90% of the gpu it remains really low noise and temps are kept below 60C, plus power use drops a lot this way too.

Not sure that this shows what you think it does.

Power usage is consistent performance not so much. It varies with resolution and the game level. Also not to mention that 6900xt is almost half the price of 3090ti.

Since most Guru3d members play 60hz v-sync:
